  1. the bracelet is one part where only the gen 93150 cuts it there are supposedly 9315 hong kong reps that are very accurate they are often sold as gen. i have no link or information beyond that.
  2. same movement as entry-mid level swiss made brands. i imagine they could last 50+ years with proper service intervals. still got some reps going on 5 years now, no problems as daily wearers. TCs watches probably have better assembly yet compared with the chinese factory mass prodcued stuff, so there shouldnt be much worry about how well his pieces will age
  3. these reps look very good indeed, still waiting to see it at the AD in person. wonder if they'll release a date version lume shot from omega
  4. you sure that minute hand is genuine? my gen set (CLARKS - GEN - YUKI)
  5. a couple years ago i scored a NOS fat font mk ][ sub insert with tritium pearl for less than $100. i guess no one else thought a vintage insert could be in such mint condition. its either the most accurate rep insert ive ever seen or its genuine and worth 3 times what i paid for it. either way its worth more than what i paid
  6. still own my blue, its a nice homage with several notes to the original big crown. while the dial and insert are the weak points movement runs +5 a day I vowed to wear this one into the ground
  7. i went the nalgene route, works well
  8. that is a nice one, very gen like
  9. Truthfully I often find myself thinking of this exact case and dial combo that i sold and i truly miss it. but seeing the end result in your hands at least im very proud, of whats been accomplished. very beautiful, so much so, its worth quoting your post with the pics again
  10. ebay seller vip auctions sells off props used in tv shows and movies and they often sell obvious replicas used in productions most recently they sold off some pateks and some APs used on californication, they were obvious chinese fakes and the description said they could not guarantee authenticity how they are allowed to sell prop replicas on ebay is beyond me, even if it is memorabilia heres the listing, sold for over $600 comes with a studio CoA, and they even misspelled audemars on the rotor http://www.ebay.com/itm/CALIFORNICATION-MARCY-RUNKLE-PAMELA-ADLON-SCREEN-WORN-WATCH-BRACELETS-RING-501-/310979037618?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4867cb89b2
  11. i ve tried to replicate a perfect factory polish using several grits, from say 320 -12,000. one after another, then with some high gloss rouge on two different material buffing wheels, and even some diamond paste. for some reason i can not, never could achieve the same results as straight from the factory. so i m very interested to see your results. maybe my buffing wheels were getting too hot and causing some swirling or something. i am not sure
  12. engraving a titanium case back was probably not an easy task
  13. this will be interesting this "inside the rolex factory" video shows a home depot style buffing machine being used, no? @45secs i always understood lapping was an additional part to using the buffing wheel of a multi step process ?
  14. this is a nice one! got the black bay already, must seriously consider if i want another tudor "sub"
