  1. if your going with the MBK youre going to be replacing a lot if you buy the complete watch, movement, dial, and bracelet, just buy the case set. as someone whose bought and sold a lot of mbk watches and parts i can say the movements (even though most are gen) need over hauling, and the date needs realigning, not to mention its a 28.8k so if youre going for 1:1 you really only want the case if you plan on bringing it further than out of the box and intend to mod it, so save the money and put the saved cash towards upgraded parts. if you want out of the box piece you can wear for $200 buy the pt but IMO it is flawed in stock condition, if you plan on modding it choose a different watch yuki quality is inconsistent and would really only consider it if youre going with a gen movement
  2. got a gen clasp a few months back on ebay for $130. seller mislabeled it and it didnt attract any attention. but it was a perfect 93150 clasp!
  3. any experience with the ebay special? the MTG 1000 priced @ $299 or so
  4. anyone else finding this new and improved upgrade harder to read ? it seems new software sacrifices legibility in exchange for modern sleek
  5. not if its a vintage DW the numbers run the opposite way
  6. jmb engraved that back? cool. maybe ill send a couple MBW sub cases his way
  7. NOT any more. they come stamped 93250, AND the clasp is missing the indent detailing on the side, the build quality was also iffy IMO i could easily get them, but these are not worth $75 the clasp is wrong (93250 style, cant be fixed), the mid links taper, and the end link connector is not beveled like gen but flat. its just plain wrong. nooby is great...clasp stamping is not, but if the OP is looking for the vintage 93150 its kind of usless without heavy heavy modding there really is no good answer as of now
  8. he has similar models to sean at etaswiss, henry seemed knowledgeable when i talked with him, he does seem to have tw best models as well
  9. i might sell my project case that i didnt end up using after deciding the 1665 is not for me. it looks stunning but the way it sits on the wrist is not for me. lugs are already drilled and accept 2mm bars (repolished) crown tube removed and hole countersunk, tapped to fit a gen 703 tube and crown properly recessed case has gen retaining ring construction so it fits a gen T39 crystal caseback paint removed (repolished) bezel fits a gen insert CGs look great HEValve was worked to appear as a separate piece from the case and more gen like as a result, it is NON functional however (= no water leaks). case fits a slow beat ETA 2846 i know im never going to use this (well never say never, but chances are good)
  10. ive tried.. ultimately bought a gen, its the only way.
  11. i havnt. at least not with the ones ive been sourcing.
  12. i came across a complete set for $180 back in June
  13. such is this hobby if you want the right parts
  14. mbk case for sure, cgs were slightly shaved, lugs drilled but not chamfered, gen crown/tube, gen everything else... this is my observation
  15. did they steal those crown guards from a seamaster or something? wtf you cant even do anything with that
