  1. police and military seem to swear by the Browning HP for 9mm a Benelli M4 Super 90 is a personal favourite of mine
  2. wouldnt worry about it, theres more prevalent visual flaws to fret over... always.
  3. yes, mine is the seagul ST19 mech hand wind. i did mod it however with a plexy crystal and the rehaut airbrushing... and sub dial freeze. i bought mine from eurotimez for $380, who is allegedly no longer a dealer. all dealers should be able to source the rep, HOWEVER there ARE different versions from different factories with slight variations on dial print and bezel print. at the time i chose eurotimez because he had the more accurate printed dial and bezel insert.
  4. doesnt exist. if youre after the mechanical version this is the best to expect http://www.flickr.com/photos/43703575@N05/sets/72157624860081812/ the mechanical 'reduced' version seems more accurate even quartz version seems most visually accurate... but its a quartz...it has no soul.
  5. ive only seen two 8 series Beamers in my life, rare round north america
  6. saw some hands on the bay for $600, gen NOS tritium, ridiculous price though
  7. NDT is way overpriced for how accurate it is. on average their dials costs $400 and up.
  8. isnt that just a day gear? i have several 2836s that dont even have that gear since theyre calendar date only
  9. agreed , hands look bad. crystal also looks off and the lugs are either not drilled through all the way or you have incorrect spring bars installed. what are the marking between the lugs? wondering if its an MBK
  10. yup spring. also your retaining ring is 180 degrees in the wrong direction where the spring installs. the hole's always at the 1 o'clock on all the gens ive seen, im sure theres a reason they install it there... but i guess it doesnt really matter.
  11. yep im thinking oil, if you look at the schematics it'll make sense why its sticking and spinning. might be easier to service that part myself than make some sort of Frankenstein movment with gold and nickle parts
  12. was wondering if the autowind assembly on a 2836 and a 2846 are compatible. i just got a 2846 and when manually winding the movement the rotor spins furiously as well with every turn of the crown, everything else works perfectly. was thinking installing a new assembly (reversing wheels part) would fix it... or maybe its an even more simple fix than this.
  13. looks REAL good, is that a modern service replacement crystal and are the CGs untouched?(cant tell from the pics)
  14. thanks for the insight what IS the best aftermarket/refurb/repro dial you've seen Ubi?
  15. just wondering if this is a good "refurb/reproduction", its hard to tell sometimes with so many vintage sub dial variations and such, experts chime in... basically just waiting for Ubi to say 'boo'
  16. for a while now i've been wrestling with the idea of offering people owed MBK parts from ET those parts at cost +shipping, its not free but still the best i could personally offer. i have no idea how many people that would be or how to prove they are owed parts or watches and thus would qualify. also no idea how the hierarchy would feel about this, no good deed goes unpunished, hence why im only thinking about it.
  17. who knew! i just bought a 702 crown from a reputable seller, gotta check it now
  18. did you find the wholesale outlet ones to be the same length and size as the gen?
  19. ooo, the hole looked too large already. which was i was recommending the watchmaterial pearl thats already installed in the insert. what i use to enlarge insert holes was a round file, push it down to the desired width and turn a few times.
