On my 036 I used PolyWatch and a Q-Tip on the inside of the crystal without removing it from the case...I HATE that nasty purple crap!!

Oddly, the most reliable rep GMT movements are those based on Asian 21j motors... I wonder how many of you could weather the stigma of wearing a watch with a $20.00 movement in it..??? B)

What has HE got that our TD's don't have..??...... I would be very surprised to find ANYTHING out there in that "jungle" we call the web, that you couldn't find from a TD for the same or less $$'s.. There are literally THOUSANDS of scammers out "there" who will take your money and run... One of the main reasons we have sites like this one is to protect ourselves and our bros from them.... I've been around this scene for @ 7 yrs now, and I've yet to see one of these threads(and I've seen plenty of them!!)produce a new reliable source of quality product!!

A lot of the real "Pamnuts" have migrated over to WC....

Have you considered replacing it with a plexi crystal..??....My 217 shattered out, and I found a decent plexi at OFrei for $4.00!!...Look in their on line catalog for hi dome pocket watch stuff... It won't be perfect, but the 212's are a long way from perfect anyhow....

I like watches....A lot!!.....Owning reps allows me the pleasure of playing....YES, playing with a lot more of them for a lot less money....And if I break one, I don't even give a $hite..! I'll just go and buy another one....and still be able to feed my family this month.... I used to use vintage Gen's to satisfy my urge, but sadly, these days, nobody besides Chaz Bono would get caught dead wearing a 32mm watch!! :pimp:

Simply count the ticks per second......If it's seven, it's a genuine Co-Ax movement!!

Chances are....Slim to none whatsoever.......And......Slim left town @ 3 yrs ago!!! New ETA movements in new replica watches are virtually nonexistent...

In the "real"(non rep) watch world, you'd have what's called a "frankenwatch"....And we know that "over there", that's not a "good thing" like it is here!!..

I became seriously interested in reps when I discovered that it would cost $400.00+ to get an Omega watchsmith to clean and adjust my gen Dynamic Chrono...I still own the Dynamic, but I learned enough playing with reps to get it running well again!!..... Meanwhile, I spent WAAAAY more than that $400., but I've had a lot of fun, and have a bunch of nice(to my standards!!)rep watches on the shelf... :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I think he means 40 minutes elapsed time between first and last shots...notice the time positions... Also check the seconds dial,...only a few seconds actual exposure....

A QUARTZ watch losing 10 minutes a day is almost unbelievable!!...10 seconds a month is more the norm :thumbdown:
