  1. I'm pretty sure the standard rep "pvd" is painted on and as strong as thin gold plate. I have a this exact case that I completely destroyed with a caseback opener. Just took the "pvd" finish right off like it was cheap gold plate. If you want real pvd either buy a gen pam or get a dsn case. Once you see dsn's pvd finish up close you'll be astonished by the quality and strength of the coating.

  2. I have a couple of these in my parts bin.. which is kinda where they belong along with 99% of these other "rep pvd" cases. The case itself is not bad, but the shiney black finish IMO is totally unacceptable. I've tried buffing it up with cape cod cloth or sanding it down but nothing really helps.

  3. Still deciding on a case.. something 47mm or bigger. CNC mills are neat toys.. every home should have one! Still needs deburring and polishing but hopefully you get the idea.

Sould I Lume the inside of the 3,6,9 markers? Index lume the entire dial? No lume at? Leave it like it is?

The next dial in the series will be the same thing, but as a sandwich dial.

  4. Thats real carbon fiber .25mm thick machined to a fiddy sized dial with 2533 dial done fiddy style. Its a destro too.. mainly because I glued the top and bottom part of the dial 180 rotated. I tried to take pics from many angles with and without flash the best show the dial.

  5. This didn't get much attention over at RG so I thought I'd see if I get some more feedback here.

Literally old shoes.. strap made from an old doc marten boot courtesy of board member SSS who seems to be really shy about taking credit for his work. Vintaged dial courtesy of folgers "gentle on the stomach" coffee.

Crap lume shot.. dinner was getting cold and I didnt want to get yelled at again. Does anyone want to trade a slightly used latina for some watches?

  6. looks ok but really nothing special. I dont understand the 7750 either I tried out som 4813 movements and they are pretty smooth and probably 1000x more reliable then a 7750. I do own a couple of non-chrono pams with the 7750 and they are not as bad as the chronos but they just feel so damn fragile even just winding them.

  7. You people know nothing.. the rarest and most desirable rolex reps are POLFY's. I'm selling mine for $1000 if anyone wants it. Here is a pic of the caseback

Not some chinese crap watch.. this is made by the finest watch craftsmen in ShitInErAnd (ShitInHerHand)

    price goes up tomorrow!

  8. I've bought watches from them. One of their skeleton watches and a homage radiomir. No complaints about them here.

Thanks for the reply NAV. So have you ordered from him before? I'm not looking to buy from him, but was just curious to know if he was a dealer people knew of.
  9. the movements on these watches tend to be hit and miss. I have identical "swiss" movements from the same dealer in different watches and some are jerky as hell and others are super smooth. If you want to make yourself feel better check out some gen rolex vids on youtube.. not exactly the smoothest movements and pretty close to the reps.

  10. panatime has a store in nyc.. gonna visit the next time i head over. Stormtrooper4 the lume is my project.. I have a few little pam projects posted over at rwg take a look sometime in the panerai forum.

Another project with a panatime strap.. the quality and consistency of the stitching is so nice. Sad to say it puts some of my much more expensive strapculture straps to shame
