  1. Hi Guys, I was contacted by someone selling a 16610 bezel assembly and was wondering if this looks legit. The insert looks aftermarket to me but I can't say anything about the rest. The seller gave me a 3 day return so I can take better pictures when I get it. Any thoughts or ideas on how to tell the real deal would be great. Thanks!!!!
  2. That is very interesting. I have talked with BK about it and he didn't mention any difficulties about installing a gen crystal. Maybe I will PM him and double check on things. Thanks!!!!
  3. Thanks Ubi!!! Hindsight is always 20/20. i appreciate the help. I am hoping to make it a smoking watch, so I will probably hold out for the whole assembly. Do you know if aftermarket parts for the tension and click spring will work just as good or do they need to be gen? Just seeing how much searching I am going to have to do. Thanks!!!
  4. Thanks for the pictures and comparison shots. I think that it will be fine on my wrist. If I can get away with a Panerai, I think I can do the DSSD. Thanks again!!!!
  5. Hi Guys, BK seems to be out of the WM9 16610 subs until June, and I am starting to obsess about it. I have been waiting to place my order for one and have been collecting parts to install on it. So far, I have a genuine tube and crown, crystal, and bezel insert. I was reading some posts the other day saying that the bezel doesn't exactly look the same as the real thing. I think that I also read where a genuine bezel won't fit on the WM9 crystal retaining ring. I was wondering how different the bezel is on the V3 as opposed to the genuine. I don't recall seeing a side by side comparison of the V3. I was also wondering where the best place to find the retaining ring/ bezel set would be. I have searched eBay and nothing is active. If anyone knows of a place to get one, please PM me. Thanks for the time and help!!!!
  6. Thanks for the recommendation!!!! Definitely in the plans.
  7. Thanks so much!!!! Great shot by the way!!!!
  8. You work Ubi is just great. I hope that the 5513 I am trying to put together turns out a third that nice!!! Major props to you!!!!!
  9. Hi Guys, The largest and bulkiest watch that I have right now is a Seiko MarineMaster. I have other dive watches and have had a PAM111 in the past. I was wondering how big the DSSD wears and if anyone has seen one compared to the MarineMaster. I have about a 6.75" wrist and don't have a problem with the regular Sea-Dweller or MarineMaster. Thanks!!!!!
  10. That is a beautiful watch!!! I have been wanting a DSSD but have waited to see how things flush out. Which version is that from ETZ? They have one labeled Ultimate Edition and Best Version 5. Is there another on their site that I missed? Congrats!!!!
  11. Is there any way to get the links referenced in this great article to work again? I see that it is an older article but has a lot of great information. It says 404 no found when I click on them. I am really interested in seeing The Zigmeister's review of the El Primero. Thanks!!!!
  12. Hi Andy, I don't know if the 1665 case is different from the 5513 and 1680 MBW cases, but I ordered 29-325-10 for the caseback and 29-337-8 for the retaining ring gasket. Maybe someone else can confirm for you or actual better measurements.
  13. I have used Gorilla Glue before for other projects with good results but you have to be careful because it expands so much. It is also prone to spidering as Stilty mentioned.
  14. Thanks for the tips!!! How is the alignment on the new overlays? Do you have any pictures yet??? I can't wait!!!!
  15. Thanks Andy!!! I am glad since I have some on hand :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  16. I asked FxrAndy what type of glue he used on his overlays and he recommended a slow setting glue. I was wondering if GS Hypo Cement is considered slow setting. Most sites say that it sets in 10 minutes. If not that, what do most use? Thanks!!!!
  17. Thanks Andy!!! That is great news. I was wondering if you just mounted it to a regular date wheel and what you used to secure it. I have never done an overlay before and was just curious. Thanks again!!!!
  18. Great find!!! I have been looking for a watch for my wife that she would wear. Tudor's are so nice!!!!!
  19. I would love to read what you have to say about the DW's. Could you possibly post a link to the post when it goes live? Thanks!!!!
  20. Thanks for all of the information and pictures. You have inspired me to do a 5517 project (yet another project  ) Thanks!!!!
  21. I just bought one of the new 1680 cases and it will take a genuine crystal but the retaining ring is too small to fit over the crystal. I don't know about the insert yet but will in a week or so.
  22. That is beautiful Freddy. I am usually not much of a gold fan but even I have to admire that. Beautiful work!!!!
  23. Thanks for all of the replies and pictures! I checked mine and they do fit fine inthe bracelet. I did some work shaping one of mine yesterday but it still needs a lot of work. I have a couple of pictures of the way they look but don't know if I can post them from the phone but will try. Thanks!!!
