  1. Only thing is the Sub and SD bracelets are different. Not sure of the point of changing.
  2. Can't it just be sent to someone else in the EU for trans-shipment to Germany?
  3. I've never seen that style of bezel on a rep. You could probably find one with that dial or similar in a newer non lug hole case and fluted bezel.

Looks a lot like the current offering from JAW. For a mere $18,500. That's what I first thought it was.
  5. Add about another $80 to replace the standard canon pinion set with the taller H4 set for use in a Rolex rep.
  6. If it's anything like the ETA rotors from the 28xx series, which I'd guess it is, the bearing is pressed into place on the rotor and you would need to take the rotor off and re-press the bearing back into place.
  7. I imagine it's the same as a 2893-2. The winding bridge comes off with 3 screws and you get to it from the back. Check it out here. Jump ahead to the relevant part. http://www.eta.ch/swisslab/2892a2/2892a2.html
  8. Sure, although it's just as easy to post it here.
  9. More than likely it's the font on the overlay rather than the cyclops. If so, the easiest way is to change the overlay to a better one.
  10. I've got 3 and the one pictured below always looked too magnified to me until I looked closely at it next to my buddies gen and it was pretty much spot on. Now I know the other two are a little weak. Of course these are all plexi crystals and they may show larger than the sapphire due to the cyclops sitting higher off the watch face. Never checked that since date fonts are way over analyzed in my opinion and I usually don't fret over them. Correct: Too small: Show us a picture but I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it's huge. I was surprised.
  11. Narikaa (Reg) always had the best low budget PO's. He's no longer a dealer here as of last month but it would be worth tracking him down, especially if you're in the EU. His PO's are all with 21j movements and they were going for about $68 or so last time I bought one.
  12. Here's some possibilities. Interesting pictures of Subs. https://www.swiss-wrist.com/sport-model/rolex/submariner/
  13. Not sure. I think this one is generally a standard Sub with swapped out or aftermarket dial. Most of the gens that I've seen on Google are two tone. This style seems much rarer in a gen watch. It's pretty flashy. Looks good in a casino, though.
  14. If you can sell the parts separately and the movement separate and still be legitimate, why not combine the two into one post?
  15. Bad thing is they have a 50pound minimum order, but the good thing is they have lots of other interesting stuff. (ps. How do you make a pound sign on an American style keyboard? Or Euro?)

  17. Could go Serti dial. Here's WM9 v3:
  18. You need a new watchmaker. Full service on an Eta movement should be less than $100. By the way, TC and BK Subs are two entirely different watches. Better find out what you have before you try to send it to Bert.
  19. Nope. It's a long shot that you'll find one now since WM9 is long gone. Occasionally one might come up for sale. Maybe the new TC Subs are good. He's got a new LV Sub and they are getting good reviews. I haven't actually seen one yet though. He does sell parts so it might be something to look into..
  20. The only ones that are close that I've seen are ether the WM9 ones or the gens. Seems to me the rest are too dark and don't have the gen "sparkle". I'd also be interested to see other people's opinions.
  21. No, that's a silver dial, not MOP. Any dealer can get a very decent one with that dial, I believe. Just send them a picture and ask. I don't know about the polished mid links question but I've never been too concerned about that. There are soooo many different DJ's and there's no reason that a gen owner couldn't swap out the bracelet. It's not really a tell. The expensive part of the franken is the white gold bezel. They are now going for close to $300. JMB has made some pretty awesome SS smooth bezels from what I've seen. Maybe you could contact him and ask him about building you a custom DJ, If he's interested, I'll throw in the gen dial for next to nothing and you could come out way under $800 I would think.
  22. Here's a picture of one from a couple of years ago that I had. I thought it was great at the time but now the Rolex crown looks a little off. Not sure if it's the picture or what. In fact looking at it again. it kinda sucked.
