  1. Ordered a z 2008 sub from them on early november. For the known reasons it would come to me (EU) thru UK, i was told that on the 12 that they will shipp it on the 16 of December to me, and from there on a complete blackout to all my emails. It seems that i'm not the only one on this boat from what i see on there forum. Does any one here have a clue about what is going on with wm9? Only thing i know for now is that i payed a watch that i didn't get and no explanation at all from the dealer too.
  2. On the wm9 public forum i started a thread about this and George gave the information that this smaller movement will make possible to use a bigger solid bronze retaining ring to the movement so that the weight will be exactly the same of the Gen- 135g with the new holow mid link bracelet installed. QUOTE (Tribal @ Nov 6 2008, 10:02 AM) WM9 was normally 2836-2 i can't believe they put a Eta 2678-2 in it. Diameter of this movement is 7,75" = 17,2mm How will they manage to get the date at the right Position? I'm really confused about this

  4. You can check the new WM9 subs too. I bought a supreme from PT and it is a very good watch with a good case and bezel, the crystal must be sawp for a better one like the clark one and the dw print and dial is worst than the noob that is installed on the Euromariner, althought i expect to be almost perfect in the wm9 i just ordered yesterday. With the Euromariner you will get a real eta swiss movement and with the PT i i'm not shure if it is swiss or copy. What i have for now is a PT with noob guts and dial, and the only flaw is the date window that is not as wide as the gen one and the dw print, where the two digit dates are too big and fullfill the window where on the gen they are smaler and you see more white backgound.
  5. Just pulled the triger on a Z series v2 a few minutes ago, Hope to finaly get the sub rep that finaly get's as close as it is possible to the real thing. Let's wait to see.
  6. The first big diference is that while rolex uses in house made movements, tudor uses usualy ETA movement's. The daytona that uses a zenith el primero movement don't just get the "out of the box" movement but use a moded buy rolex one where, for example the 36000bph are slowed down to maybe 28800 ore something like that.
  7. Actualy you dont need to remove the crystal, but you have to remove the movement with the dial attached from your watch, a generic opening tool for rolex sub wil work to open the back case of your watch, and apropriate screw divers to remove the movement pushers that keep the movement in place,. I'm shure you can see how to do it on several posts here so do some research.Dont forget that to the movement to get out from the case youl have to get the stem/crown out of the movement. The markers on the noob dial are secured by a litlle pin on the back of the marker that fitts on a litle hole on the dial. most secure way is to put a very very litlle grop of shooe glue (contact glue) that will take some time to get dry and once it is, it will be kind of rubber texture so its ease to remove. You can do this with a nedlle or o tooth pick , and than put the marker on its place. This glue is the same i use to glue the bezel inserts and it's secure but allways allow me to get them out of the bezel easely with no damage at all. When dealing with the dial you may put some finger prints on it and it may collect some dust, the best way to clean it than will be to use a product called Rodico, but i stongly recomend you to use rubber gloves to avoid getting the dial realy dirty.
  8. Just an idea. If it's a glue problem maybe you can put it Ring and bezel in a pot with acetone and after some time glue will be disolved.
  9. Here it is: http://www.cousinsuk.com/catalog/4/199/2265.aspx
  10. Thanks that's a realy good help this chart. On ref 16610 the correct crystal/gasket comb is the 25-295c2. You have both refs (c1 andc2) available at cousinsuk.
  11. I'll have to get one to. I think the part number for the crystal to a modern sub it's 25-295c. Some times you can find the references 295c1 and 295c2. I think that it is the same crystal but the gasket that usualy cames with it is has some diferent measures being c1 or c2. But maybe someone here beter than me can clarify this.
  12. Don't pannic its no ruined and it can be reasembled. Same thin hapenned to me and what you can do if you don
  13. Pulled the triger and got the watch delivered fast, the comunication with PT is the best you can ask for, and the watch is exactly what you see in the pictures. And yes it can take GEN parts like crystal and gasket, gen crown will fit with no need to swap the tube and of course the Gen insert will fitt the bezel too. The engraved "rolex rolex" on the rehaut it's prfect and only visible from a short distance. For the asked price i vote this one as the best out of the box sub for now.
