  1. bump. Looks like yuki or ndt is the best bet but I don't want to use a gen movement. Anyone have tips for ETA movements?
  2. Looking to start a new rolex project and I have my eyes set on a 6536. Thanks!!
  3. On Puretime's site: And the gen:
  4. I like my NDT dial because it has the serifs on the markers. Comapred to the gen, I think it looks pretty damn good! NDT: And a gen:
  5. First post updated with pics. Well, it looks like I can't edit for some reason, so here they are: Still needs the lug bars for the case and some engraving, but other than that, it's done!
  6. Thanks, that means a lot coming from you.
  7. Fixed lugs are getting done with engraving from neckyzips.
  8. PM sent as I don't want to post on the board in case the wife sees And btw, WAAAAAAY over budget!
  9. More than I wanted to spend I'll have to add it up.
  10. That will come later. That's why it's almost done.
  11. My 5517 is almost done. I got this email from PBDad today. He is still going to SLIGHTLY age the insert and install the Yuki pearl. Specs are: MBW 5513 Case Cartel Insert Yuki Pearl Gen Tropic 19 Plexi Aftermarket 702 Tube polished Gen 702 Crown!!!! NDT 5517 Dial Omega SM300 Hands ETA2846 I'll post more when I get it, but it'll be here only for a short time as it needs some other love from Neckyzips ) And with finished with the pearl installed: I'd like to thank members of RWG as when I started my 5517 project, I really had no clue where to start. Thanks!!
  12. I think the next big thing that the factories need to work on is correct datewheels. It's amazing how much better a rep looks with the correct datewheel.
  13. Great as I have my Wheels with him now
  14. Not really, but dsn's 040 dial is supposed to be a b series dial, but even so it's still a poor dial.
  15. Same dial, but on a previous build:
  16. Yep, it's the gold semimat with yellow stitch. MX001CVH for XL. MX001CP6 for standard.
  17. Very nice! Who did the tall CP?
  18. So I had a similar post a few months back, but now I have my 009 back from Avitt. Not only is it three shades of "tritium" it's three case finishes. The 040 still needs some CG work, but other than that, they are DONE! The H factory Crystal is so badass (check out the second photo) Specs: B Series 040 with Pre-A dial H Factory Case H Factory Crown H Factory Crystal Sead CG with Beadblasted lever from Avitt Jakob Caseback A6497 FGD Dial (stock lume) FGD Hands (stock lume) OEM Tan Strap (for now, getting replaced with another Dirk) Pre-V 5218-209 H Factory Case H Factory Crown H Factory Crystal Sead CG with Beadblasted lever from Avitt Jakob Caseback A6497 FGD Dial (Marty lume) FGD Hands (stock lume) Dirk V1 Black Calf with Logo buckle Pre-A 009 H Factory Case H Factory Crown H Factory Crystal Sead CG Jakob Caseback ETA6497 FGD Dial (Marty lume) DSN Hands (Marty lume) Avitt DLC treatment OEM Rubber (for now, getting replaced with another Dirk with Rolexfinders Pre-A buckle also DLCed by Avitt) And did you guys pick up on the serial on the 009 and 040?
  19. Thanks, I placed my order from them.
  20. Yes.
  21. One I purchased from a member was lost in transit and it's the last piece I need before I finish my project. Do you guys know a source for these movements? Thanks!
  22. Nopes, I got it from marsupilami as well.
  23. Yea, I'll post updates as it goes along.
  24. Yes, I noticed that. I hope everything fits with my mbw case.
  25. So I'm building a 5517 and I wanted a specific gen crown (I eventually found out it was a 702). At first, not knowing much about Rolex, I bought the first gen crown and tube I saw posted on the forum. However after doing much research I found the crown I wanted was a 24-702. During the hunt, I ended up with a 24-703 (with long logo) and a modern crown. However this weekend I finally found a 24-702 and I've got an aftermarket crown tube from a member here. Thanks to RWG members as I did a search and found all the info I needed here. 702 - 703 - 704?? 702 vs 703 702 tube vs modern tube
