Nothing great here just normal rep parts, unlike some of the top builds we have seen here
But any way the story of this one. I bought an aged vintage case from a member here and i have to say it was AGED! a bit to much for me so i went about refinishing and refreshing it a bit, i tried to keep some of the dings but to add some polish to it and some brushing and i think i have come out the end with a pretty decent looking reliable watch.
So the case dial and hands came with out a crowm, movement, crystal or movement holder or tabs and just sat about untill i got round to working in it, last night i machined up a movement holder in massive form, not just a simple ring but from dial back to case back so that when the case back goes on it is one almost solid constuction.
I added a serviced 2836 (a story in its self with the keyles works) into the mix and put the whole thing together, the observant may notice a small kink in the min hand but only reraly visible wen the light catches it and for a 40 year old watch not an issue for me. Fit a sternkreutz crystal and slap it on a new nato with nice thick spring bars and away you go. It passes a 3 ATM water resistance test and keeps good time on the vibrograph, it may be tempting to build a more orginal one of these some day.
And the lume is not bad for standard rep lume
