If the automatic winding mechanism is removed from a 7750 to be used in a 6263 is the movement still at a high risk of damage when wound daily? If so what parts are at risk and how hard is it to replace these parts?
The DW 6263's have 7750 movements with asymmetrical pushers. Is this movement any different from a normal 7750 movement? Would an eta 7750 work or does it have to be a specific model?
What is the best way to get in touch with yukiwatch? On their website it says click on the FAQ and leave a message but I see no such option. I tried emailing them but got no reply.
I love my spinmaster 6263. I just wondered how a watch with an Asian 7750 (7760 now) will hold up if it is worn and wound daily. Also, I find that after 40 winds each day the movement runs just over 24 hours. Is this about right?
Anyone ever had any issues shipping from U.S. to China. My DW 6263 needs a new movement. DW will replace it for free or I can pay $120 to have one shipped to me. Of course then I have to pay someone to put it in. What do you think? Potential customs issue shipping out of the U.S.?
BK has the best modern sub with the WM9 v2. The MBW subs take gen parts so they are a good watch to wear and upgrade as you go. Have you looked at the Spinmaster 7760 6263? It is a great watch. The only drawback is that the subdial spacing is a little off. You can add a gen crystal, crown and band later if you like.
My dad worked for O.G. Wilson's in the 70's. This is from the 1976 catalog. From the spacing of the pushers on the Wakmann [H] and possibly [J]. I would say it is a Valjoux 72 inside. Check out the price!
Did you make that Mark? The spinmaster 7750 route is the best for the money. Second would be the spinmaster route with a V72 if he still does them. Then you would not have to put up with all of the headaches of assembling and having people tell you that the movement does not fit and on and on and on....... There are many posts here about people stressed while their 6263 is at the watchmaker. Some are in that situation right now.
Here is Spin's 6239: Spinmaster 6239 I remember a thread where he had given a dial a vintage look with a cream dial. I think it was coolfire's watch but I am not sure.
