  1. Cougar, this thing jumped the shark awhile ago but is probably is a good thread for newbs, the best thing to do to preserve the work is 2 fold. 1 either conglomerate the discussion and repost in a new thread. Thereby cutting out the useless stuff and rebrand it according to it's focus as a new buyer experience conversation and thread. Or find a place to chop it off and have the mods do that. Is extremely long and even before the wetwork meltdown it would be pretty overwhelming for a newb to sift through and would be hard to find except for folks looking for a planet ocean.
  2. It wasn't a comment on the banocity factor, it was a response to his "oh well I get banned then" statements. As in, well you may not get banned but your not working in the spirit of our community. . . .
  3. Dude, you are making the case to be banned, you have been warned by mods and you still act like this. Again, I think your a child. I have thought several times about taking your posts and putting them in their own thread so you will get the real community reaction, this is a long thread and no one is reading it now. If you keep pushing, I will do it. And yes it would contain my comments as written.
  4. Yeah, I'm sorry, a few pages back, he took several shots at me and the forum rules which really upset me. Then he continued with his responses. So, I was a little hot. Don't like it when people attack us. Sorry
  5. But, always be careful never force a crown pushing in setting time. There are little gremlins in there and they don't like to be shoved around
  6. Say it again my brother you must take this message and shout it from the mountain top!!!!!!!!
  7. Actually, it is usually recommended that you do not wind a7750 by the crown, because it puts unnecessary wear on the gears. Just shake it a few times before putting it on your rest to get it going. Many of us- probably a good majority have many watches, there are some watches that will go for months between wearing. They are very happy chilling in a watch box. Don't worry about flaws, date window or otherwise. No one in your office will care if your wearing a 40,000 patek or 25$ seiko. Finding enjoyment in the world we live in vs. The world we wish for is Key for a happy existence
  8. Wetdouche, I'm ot even going to entertain point by point your attempt to be intelligent, but to say this 1. You attacked ME personally, when, I suggested that you may want to reconsider your actions as it's frowned upon in our community. You didn't go to an AD but you were scouting new places to hit with your fake watch test. 2. You responded with your not the boss of me, I'll do what I want. 3 I explained that there is a social contract when you benefit from this community you are asked to follow the rules. In this, you have raved about your benefit and [censored] on the rules. You don't understand or show any gratitude for what WE have built. 4. Stop playing TV lawyer, YOU one person are not the downfall of our hobby, only a small minded person would think that the argument and worse attempt to retort it in such a matter. You know exactly the point, if everyone did it, it would be a problem that's why there is a rule. 5. Your in way over your head kid, if I were you, I'd wise up and show respect. Before you even think of trying to pick that apart it's respect to the forum and it's members NOT me. In conclusion, the furtherance of you trying to rebut and defend your clear intention to flagrantly flaunt then rules of the forum by diverting attention from your actions and put it on mine you just continue to dig a hole deeper. You attacked me for pointing out the forum rules. You insult this forum then you insult me. You don't deserve what is available here, your childish and immature and I suggest you either start showing intent to follow the rules or move on. You may not get banned for this, but, your not buying any good will and won't find helping hands when you need them.
  9. What is up with this? I'm looking forward to the gold wrapped unveiling
  10. There are plenty of rich "kids" who wear rolex's in high school. There are plenty of millionaire in their 40s/50s who only wear t shirt shorts - age is irrelevant attitude is everything.
  11. Sail on crystal, you won't think any of the things you say above . Cruising these days doesn't tell you where or when to do anything. muster is naval mandate. In fact, it's flying in somewhere with more than 2 people that is the - go here now headache. Trying to coordinate 5-10 people to do anything is a nightmare. Someone is always late yadda yadda. What I like about cruising is it's way less planned and more flexible way to travel. I do ALOT of family vacations and I love not having to see them all day . I've also planned conventions and retreats and the headaches never end. 2 or 3 people usually manageable, beyond that, not good.
  12. Cool. Thanks. Yeah. My largest group of real world friends are 200 miles away, the contest is only 100 miles. Not even counting the forum, I'm losing +/- 500 votes, vs the 100 votes I have available.
  13. Yeah,i knew something was up, but I didn't want to seem ungrateful. I'll have the box back in the mail first thing mon morning
  14. Ok Wetwork- douche I think your an ungrateful piece of crap. This board is not here? You don't get the photos you don't get a reliable dealer. And why does the board ask you in exchange? Just don't be a tool, walk into a AD and show off your fucing fake watch. Not "telling you what to do". The board is: so if you don't like the terms of which you have received a great informational benefit. Then take your ungrateful ass and head over to rep geek, their standard aren't as high. My guess is your a kid. You have no perspective on what it takes in life to do anything. And the "your not the boss of me" argument fits. It's douches like you that cause problems for all of us. I hope you do get banned. You are going to be that guy who causes issues with member trades, I'll just put some $$ down on that for sure. For me, you will get "ignored" so I won't have to have to read your useless crap.
  15. Take a quick read, TwoTone talks about it. Here is the water. Drinking is up to you man I'm just trying to help from the forums plssing all over you. If this wasn't such a overly crazy thread, you would get way more comments. You could take your first story and repost it to a new thread. Best of luck
  16. If this ever comes up. I own a cruise booking. Agency
  17. Yeah, thanks. We have ALOT those resources. But, having forum members vote, would be at least 1k people
  18. Hey, I'm not anybody's mother. I'm just passing on friendly advise, that playing do you know my watch is real is not a good way to earns friends. If you do want to do it, I suggest posting the adventure in a new thread, then you will see what I'm talking about. Not sure if your a lawyer but I am, and I think your interpretation is to narrow. Besides I explained al the scenarios. In none of them is it good for you
  19. Yeah, I really cant thank him enough, one day I'll get even with him:) I'm gone this week, I don't have enough time. I think these props deserve group shot value. I'm still shopping for the wood for that, but I'm starting to get the z"big picture" so to speak.
  20. Your logic is 100% correct. The concept of good reps and ad's knowing. Well, it the corporate folks that would know about it. And some senior positions don't realize the extent. The point being, i guess, if our 30,000 people flapping their reps around if they find out it's site, and they try litigation get us cut of When you have a rocking piece, and beat the system, it is not polite to shop it around. And stick it in their face. As I explained - there is only 1 possible outcome, they won't tell you what they tell cause they want. Commission So. The game pointless. It's heads i win tails you lose. You will be happy but it's a false happy. I'm just saying its rule 25 our forum rules! There 2 reasons people com here, 1 to learn and be a watch enthusiast or they want a quick rep so he show off how successful So speaking on behalf the old school, I think 1. Don't bring attention to the community. And it's the proper thing to do. Your im essence going to an ad hey that 5k piece of crap I bout for 300 Find a local watchmaker, create a relationship my guy tells ,e what he likes and issues for him. Final point is. The game is rigger. The sales person would never say anything. So why bother. Serious
