fyi - total was 38,000$ damage to my house my buddy had his windows blown in - had to rebuild the wall, all kinds of water damage

ok - well - i hate to be critical - but, don't be so critical - i went through the 2004-5 storms here - and you have to go through the motions, when it doesn't happen - because its a real shitstorm that one time it does. my wife went through Andrew - I went through wilma - it was a cat 1 when it got to my house, and we didn't have electricity for 2 weeks - the lights didn't work in half the county for more time - there was no gas to be gotten for 2 weeks for cars or generators because N S E and W of here all had power outages - i had to drive 150 miles to find a gas state with less than a 1.5 hr wait for gas. my fences got torn down - had 2 ft concrete tiles flying near my windows tore up all the screened enclosures - had to replace my roof, fence and screen enclosure - nnot to mention the 300$ in food everytime the power goes out for 24 hrs and the fridge defrosts no AC in florida in 90 degree heat is no freaking pick nick. wilma cause over 15 BILLION dollars in damage in south florida - it was a cat 1 and frankly, there is no way to evacuate florida if a big one comes - we have all been lucky because (other than katrina) there has not been a "major" hurricane hit a major metropolitan area in a long ass time - andrew hit the boonies not miami- it took out thetrailor parks in homestead no one was serious about wilma here - no one had water, gas power - food, it was a freaking nightmare No Phones - no cell phones no Clean running water - you had to boil it, except its a pain boiling water on a gas grill no showering!!!! thanks - i'll take my chances being inconvenienced by being prepared

i gotta say, i had no idea that this thread was started a year ago - the watch still looks so new to me, i've never owned a watch a year and still had an ackin to wear it so often!!! SUCCESS!

cmon guys he can do better for that price - if you go a little over the 4k you can find good deals on Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine and Maxi Marine Chrono you may have to go used, - but, thats a real watch collectors watch you might also try to find a used Zenith - probably a little tougher.

very nice collection - very classy Collection threads are now my favorite to visit almost never see 2 collections alike - and i don't think i have ever seen such a refined and classy collection as this - on rwg most people (like me) are into larger and sport watches - i do agree that patek looks great- have to have my dad look at that new moondphase mov't and the lange looks great to especially in line with the collection

sweet - that is very helpful i like this model - i think the "Base' version with the big seconds and no subdials i think is 38mm thats the one i was thinking was small. i'd lve it, if they made that base or a UTC in a 42mm i've actually wondered why sinn hasn't been repped yet - when lots of other random brands are repped

Tip - never say how much you paid say how much "these watches go for" - give a range - from used, to new and or internet sources that way your not lying

i don't know much about the internals of watch mechanisms but i do know that The Zigmeister is not expensive

I use 1and1 - have for several years - love them. For hosted exchange, been using them for 2 yrs - been same as my other coverage the company i had previously i used Asp-one.com - they use a great spam service called mxlogic - which is freaking phenomenal - you must use a pre-server spam service if you have lots of users mxlogic requires like 30 accts before you can directly contract with them asp-one was more high end than 1and1 - but at twice the price, so you just have to decide what you need - if its a corp environment and the few bucks isn't a big deal - go with asp-one if its small small stuff, 1and1 works well for me Prior to this, i tried doing my own exchange server which was a freaking nightmare its a full time job to maintain it and fight off virus attacks i've been doing hosted exchange since 2002 - great service

you make wholly excellent points. - ok, so there is no RWG watch, TT said we can't do it - fine what if i were able to get together a Sinn watch - but non branded - and 42mm instead of 38 like the gen - with spooooonz real harder than hard PVD and Chieftang AR and Super Lume how many people would want that? i dunno, i want one i think alot of members are looking at inexpensive Gens vs 4-500 watches - i dunno - i want one - i think lots of people would like a sinn - especially one with such clean lines as the one above (although i want the GMT one) but the gens are small

and still many dealers operate that way today. but before abay is before me. didnt know davis. but re secret pricing. that was tuff. you had to email dealers for pricing but they would .never answer all your questions. and it was considered taboo to post the price you paid. dealers have to be way more responsive and specific about watches these days. assuming they speak english

i think the idea here would be that it isn't a collaboration watch as much as a project for someone to make some $$

I know we went through this in RWG1 and i wasn't around when it happened, i was on board hiatus but i keep thinking that with all the changes in the rep industry and also, 1 model that i haven't seen rep'd yet. Either from a rep dealer in china - or from millionsmart or whatever, i think we should think about commissioning a new watch. I propose basically making a 42mm Simple Sinn design to make it even easier - basically were taking a Bell and Ross, dial mov't hands and putting them in a round PVD case 42mm or 44mm which ever then - where it says Sinn - we put RWG - i'm sure we could find the same font - or make the font like the BR font. we also have so many folks on the board with $$ - if there is a split profit to the board and to investors it should - at the moment i don't know the minimums for dial printing. Thoughts? we could maybe even get - whoever is doing that pvd and gold coating to coat the case on these - he doesn't want to do it individually, but at 50 or 100 at once - it would probably make sense and the case is easy enough to take apart for coating. and the whole run of crystals can be chief tanged - White SuperLuminova hmm, could be really cool

if your really anal - get gens eddie lee used to say it the best - reps are reps - they are not made to be gens, you can't expect to put them under hard conditions like gens. the rubber can show a little wear - but, if you don't bump into walls you should be ok. again - great watch if you need perfection for $450 - i recommend citizen
