  1. gio has a harem he uses for photos But, if you want to find good images, just go to google.com and click on images and search -
  2. the average number ellipses has fallen dramatically in the last few months is neil nearing the end of his banishment?
  3. Proof? how about a jet?
  4. We, go through the same crap with dealers that everyone else deals with - some good transactions, some bad. Were not sponsored. However, just like in any business world relationship, the better relationship you have the more likley someone is going to go out on a limb to help. Because they want to keep our business. There is no shortage of folks that would like to sell on this forum. Now, having done this for several years - we have experience and know how these things go. When something is out of the ordinary, its brought up and handled. Also, most of us have had dealings with all the collectors and know how they operate and we know when we read a story that is out of line, there is more to it. As it relates with direct sales - you will learn that china is a nasty place for newbs - like ken said, lots of scams, lots of scammers ect ect ect. Having someone who speaks chinese, who has the power to call the factory to task when they send out a crap watch and to get it fixed is VERY valuable. Thats what your paying for, an agent to do business for you in China. i don't think anyone is discouraged from explaining their experiences, they can write reviews - and, when they post here about problems, i think the community helps people along with the "unwritten process" to communicate and work it out. Sometimes it takes a long time. i've been trying to get a decent BCE for 2 months now - and hopefully i'll have it in a week or 2.
  5. Funny - i just got a foam, gnome - a travelocity squeeze toy thing, i'm going to bring it on my trip to europe in the fall and put it inconspicuously in the background of my photos
  6. that has happened to me - the best thing is to wind it all the way, wear it for a day or 2 and try again also, sometimes those pushers have to be pressed pretty hard
  7. i think both TT and DL's photos both have very special qualities
  8. Funny thing is - this watch is about to go a HUGE transformation what is the same? - the case what is new - a pvd - or at least black - skeleton movement on order from HKTAN a 5mm +thick black Gator Hornback (the horns on top of the 5mm thickness) - with matching black stitch of course and a New more solid PVD deployant from panatime and some sort of AR coating I have to say that the PVD case and the PVD skeleton movement are Really Bad Ass - its got a dark, darth vader feel - and, with those prickly hornback strap super thick - this thing should look really awesome I just wish i could pvd the remaining pieces in the movement, there are a couple of SS pieces. if your going pvd - go all out - i like the Shinny pvd, vs. the titanium pvd look/ sandblasted i got my case from Tourby for this project. here is the watch with the black movement http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=69467&hl= i have alot of work to do - movements, straps, AR, watches to get in - as soon as that all gets together, i'm going to do a whole new collection page - its basically all new since the last time i updated it sometime around July
  9. Wow - a 31 second chrono - i need 2
  10. yeah, how the hell did you pass me so quick
  11. i'd recommend getting getting a pin tool set and springbar tool so you can change out your own straps and links - its very easy to do. re: to watchsmiths - they are very undervalued and provide an amazing service for what is now pennies - Frankly i'd be bitter as well its kind of like constantly calling a lawyers office and saying hey, i had this fake lawyer draw me up some papers, can i pay you a few peanuts to correct some spelling errors i hit alot of dead ends till i found one - but, he needed my services and were friendly now, but it takes time and luck. He has helped me out and also put a scratch in on eof my pvd cases - what are you gonna do right? pay big up front and the you can demand more at the backend if there is something wrong
  12. 1. Cool 2. A7750 watches can be serviced, its pricey, but they are almost always fixable or replaceable. i have never had one fail - of course, i haven't held on to many of them for as long as you have. 3. very technical, because you have to change out the hands- thats the hardest part - watchmaker can do it for you. this is another person who has done the same thing - 4. - i hope i didn't sink a bunch of cash into a dial that will finally come out! but we'll see who knows. 5. makes total sense, but you should know that you will generally find better plating on the more expensive reps - as opposed to the quartz reps which get the low end treatment all the way around. - not a hard fast rule - but a good general rule 6. good - there is a lifetime of info here, enjoy!
  13. I used the strap mine came with for awhile - But now its time for an HKTan custom Job This just came in the mail
  14. those are some fantastic straps
  15. Hmm - i see that you have been banned at replica collector after trying to post in your own sales thread using a 2nd forum name as someone who has supposedly bought from you. That is very disturbing. Of course this is not a sale offer - although i'm sure your getting offers from people based upon this posting and trying to avoid the same type of scrutiny as you did on the other board. I have no idea if your offer is genuine or not, However, since you have clearly tried to defraud the other thread using a phony name, i for one feel compelled to post here so that newer members should not engage in sales based upon this thread and i suggest panera if you want to sell you post in the proper section.
  16. i just realized that was a guitar, what type is it? looks like a nice finish
  17. dump the armani yachtmaster and the rail master the rest are keepers
  18. #1 -beggers can't be choosers - not all models are made in all quality levels #2 - WHY in the WORLD would you WANT a quartz? when there are top notch automatic movement reps out #3 - there is no good rep of a crosswind out - however, you can buy the Chronomat EVO and put a gen crosswind dial in it- i have done so myself and it is quite good #4 - there is a rumor that new dial styles of the Chronomat EVO will be coming out - one with a roman numeral. #5 - where did you buy a rep of anything that the gold lasted 9 years? #6 - you have used up most of your free advice - there is more on these topics, try doing some searching on the board.
