  1. So, i have my new watch that i "modded" to be my miami dolphins outfit watch ok here are the heavy mods - i took the orange croc strap that no one wanted to buy - put it on there - and pulled off the bezel insert - this is obviously a rep corum bubble - i have to say that this one is lightyears ahead of the casino rep bubble. the ase is the same, but the bubble glass is much nicer - clearer. I could almost recommend this watch to corum fans which i could not recommend the casino. - of course the real deal is still the shiznit i'm actually lucky, certain red modding experts charge upwards of 100$ for this procedure
  2. is the bump topic still available?
  3. there are a few threads on this son of a b to change links. email josh i was able to get a entire new braclet for mine (i needed extra links it didnt break). i would offer you the spare but they are the black model. you need a nice pin tool with a super fine pin. its smaller than average. i picked up a set for like 15 bucks that had a few different size pins. the "end link" has an even smaller pin than the already to small other links. i recomend getting your own tool to doyour reps. its cheap easy and you dont put your rep in the hands of a 5 dollar an hour pot smoking employee
  4. thanks again chris the strap was only 50 bucks the ar is eh that is one thing i am thinking of doing
  5. This is actually a gen corum, so i had the gen strap, he strap is made of calf, rubber and gen croc. the way it is setup is both cool and for me uncomfortable, its very rigid, which makes it look brand new forever. But, the way it sat on my wrist bone wasn't comfortable, put a lot of weight on the top of one my bones. this strap because its flexible distributes it and is more comfy
  6. here you go - obviously i whipped out the lightbox this weekend - this is my 177h and 666 both on nice thick V straps Enjoy!
  7. i could add to the list the 177h which is a 111h in titanium if you aren't used to heavy watches - go for teh titanium
  8. actually findng compatable parts really sucks case hand movement. thats why i go with stuff that is already proven to work
  9. i kust took the parts to a local watchmaker. he out it together for me no prob
  10. i forgot to mention one of the things i was always hesitant about skeletons was because the hands get lost and you can't read it. THIS you can read and you don't lose any of the cool parts of the movement
  11. Its a $300 case. same factory that makes like SINN and other cases - its from Tourby - swiss, best you can get - in the real world its polished - its AWESOME. i wish they made other polished pvd watches - a polished PO would be AWESOME
  12. I recently got this T-Touch - a few cool things about this watch - 1. its carbon fiber - 2. its titanium, although its polished - it weighs NOTHING its awesome feels like air. If your not familiar with the t-touch its pretty neat it gives you the current Temp, Barametric Pressure, altitude (based on pressure) and can work as a compass. and it does it with a "touch crystal" its a neat show to watch. i enjoy this watch tremendously and i no longer have to ask - "is it hot in here, or is it me" i just know
  13. so, i went to the craft store today and found the greatest thing - it was called easy felt. its a stiff felt piece of material that bends easy. It comes in lots of colors and was only 99 cents. I took some photos with white with my corum and skeleton watch here are shots of the setup and you can see the easy felt - as well as blue and gold backgrounds for my steelfish
  14. i finally found the right watch to put this strap on. -it is a 2 of a kind V strap, there are 2, his and mine, the leather is AMAZING and the strap is AMAZING and nice and soft and comfortable. its much more comfortable than my Gen corum strap. Check out the photos. gives you an idea how big the corum bubble watch really is - makes a 44mm pam look a little small
  15. Edit - Images optimized - sorry for the large files before So, as everyone knows i steal my ideas from other folks - and i have many many thanks to those who helped me get this watch together - first and foremost chris5264 who basically had the idea to start with - tourby who worked with me to get the case and movement right and pizzanoo who worked with me to get the movement - This is a super fine watch, exactly what i wanted and frankly i couldn't have been happier. Enjoy the eye porn Your looking at a Swiss tourby Case Swiss Tourby Pilot hands SL Asian movement beck superior pvd deployant gen croc strap more on my new photo styling in another thread
  16. none of them "need" mods. close to the real deal is another issue. the thing with pam is less the watch and more the strap. the strap makes the watch like rims on a car. the rep straps suck (not like breitlings.) davidsons straps are ok but your best off picking out a style you like then hunting for a good strap. expect to pay 25 - 100 bucks. more you pya' nicer it is. i recomend going thick. thicker the better. 5mm+ you can't go wrong with just about any pam from our dealers. if you are on a tight budget get a good deal from silix just make sure you go prime. not the really crap crap. then spend the money on the strap.
  17. 1. yes 2. yes' very proffessional 3. yes interview phoband he is the shiznit suggestions: sprinkle some more fun questions like fav hobby other than watches what career would you have loved to do instead of yours favorite curse word (watch inside the actors studio on bravo youl get my drift) excellent job ken your ready to go work for rolling stone. the photos were great
  18. loony bin isn't going to be in New POsts is it? that gets annoying
  19. do a chieftang ar on it. the ar really makes the watch. i must say the factory ar is the best i have ever seen and close to the gen po ar
  20. welcome - there has been alot written about this watch - if you search on portugese chrono you are bound to find many discussions and photos
  21. i have that strap and it is the greatest strap i have ever seen or worn, i use it on my 177h. its so awesome V is the best.
