no, this isn't another pugwash-klink thread. Just wanted to share a funny story, if some of you remember a few weeks back, Bill posted a challenge for someone to step up and pay the 200 bucks Necessary to get the ram update for the board. He posted a that he would give a mystery watch - could be a broken POS or could be a Gen. Well, as many of you know, it was a gen Zeno with an ETA 7750 in it. Very nice watch, but not my style. So i put it up on the bay and It sold for 370$. There was a guy who kept asking me if it was a fake - and i was pretty sure they aren't making fake zenos anyway so the guy's wife is in south florida and he wanted her to come pick it up. - so we started talking and he said just wanted to make sure it was gen cause he collects alot of fakes - i said - Oh, well, - Jetmid-says-what? - no, kidding - i didn't say that, i asked him if he is involved in the online community, no, he said that he has a dealer in Germany and 1 in the UK that send him catalogs (paper) i was asking him about prices and they seemed to be reasonable. I sent him a few of the dealers sites and directed him to RWG. He said he would check it out. Apparently he has over 200 watches in his collection - had some nice gens mil miglia, and a few others, but he wears mostly his reps. Seemed like a really nice guy - hopefully he joins the party and we all lived happily ever after. - now my radical - oh well not so radical, but dramatic change in my collection will be revealed soon - i keep moving through different watches that i think i'll keep

this thread is too long to read all of it, but let me ad. Imagine this - You saw those panerais on TV, and thought, wow, that looks cool i want to be the transporter. Then you see one on the guy next to you on the subway and say - wow, what a piece of junk in person. Your harming the brand because you are holding out inferior product under their mark. In the case of rolex all they have is their damn mark thats what your paying for. FOr every crappy rolex out there, theoretically your devaluing the mark in the perception of people in public

sure dude, i would bring a handful. especially if your going with a wife? 2 or 3 for you 2 or 3 for her.

So, it looks totally believable? I'd get something like that if it looked good looks good in the photos

this isn't like josh's asians where its the same watch with a different movement.

fyi, as you already know we have a kick butt project coming up - FYI ,i ordered from davidson, he is waiting for his 111h dial to come back in stock this week, then were IN BUSINESS but - i really love that california dial, i have been a fan for a while, but have avoided the 47mm radiomir that looks great. you really could develop your own line of unbranded watches and probably sell them very well you could partner with Kostas, he is now hand making his own straps

yes, it looks like the standard 111h thats around - however, depending on how good your white balance is - the lume looks particularly good.

Now there is a collection of A+ all stars. Thats where i'm heading. Where all my reps are all stars and worn on a daily basis.

i think an occassion such as this calls for a new watch but i also think waking up in the morning is an occassion for a new watch

no question get the 200 j12 no diamonds great watch. sporty and formal. quartz so no winding issues. its the wife's daily beater. who hasnt heard of chanel and its just different and cool enough ti be great no mattr what the brand. everyone who sees it wants it even if they dont know anything about watches A+ rep
