  1. I have a good mixture of Gens and Reps including a superb franken 3717 and get enjoyment from wearing all of them, the reps as much as the gens, however I buy the gens (second hand) when I can afford them knowing that if I have to, I can sell them again and release the capital where as the reps wouldnt fetch much money.

  2. One of my must have watches is the 3717 so last year I finally got one from Trusty and instantly knew it was a keeper, since then it has been well traveled and modded until I had the near perfect 3717.

First I got a gen dial and hands from Concepta, it then went to Domi in Germany to have it fitted.

Got it back and enjoyed it for a few months but wanted to take it further so saved and bought a gen case,

This time it came back looking superb and the love affair started all over again......... for a few months. Another investment and I ended up with a gen day/date wheel to finish the watch off along with a genuine swiss 7750 movement supplied by Domi. I now have what I feel is the perfect 3717 other than having a gen IWC movement but cannot see the point as it keeps perfect time having been serviced/ pampered and calibrated by Domi.

The watch looks perfect on the bracelet but the well documented hole in the clasp always bugged me so wore it on a TWB strap......... that was until I found out that dB2 did the perfect mod to hide the hole, so bracelet went over to the States and here now are the final results and sorry Kleber555 I cannot be tempted to sell it

I would like to say a heart felt thanks to Concepta and Hacra for the genuine parts, Domi for his superb work and craftsmanship and dB2 for the superb job he did on the bracelet. Thanks guys :)

  3. I,m a biker of 30 years currently owning a ZZR1400 but I would say that an average driver in a 458 would beat hands down an average rider on a Ducati 1198 around a track as you have to have alot more confidence on a bike to do a fast lap time, HOWEVER in the real world of road driving a bike is unbeatable, you can accelerate to 100 and naughty in a VERY short space of time and back to legal speeds very quickly and in general are alot more fun. although a zzr1400 doesnt proberbly get you laid as much as a Ferr458 :(

  4. Hi

Thought I would share my lum-tecs with you. I love the tungston M Series and last year I bought an M7, great watch and of cause superb lum, however the lugs were'nt polished, jap movement without hack, no date or screw in crown NON of which detracted from the joy of owning it. All these have been improved on the new 2010 range so just received the M25 which is again a superb watch, this time wearing an ETA movement. Both watches are keepers so thought I would throw some pics your way:D

  5. Great watch - thanks for sharing :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Ae you glad you did it?

Absolutely, I can always replace the reps as they come up for sale quite regularly but a good x-33 is harder to come by. My list of reps will grow again as I get restless :)

  6. Have to agree, Domi's the man, The bezel on my V2 Super Avenger jammed, mailed a few modders and no one could help, Domi said he would look at it for me, next thing I knew it was on its way back to me repaired!!!!

I am now lining up my watches for a bit of tlc servicing with him.

    Thanks :)

  7. Very nice speedy mate. Ive been getting the speedy bug lately......its just the small case size holding me back, otherwise stunning watches, very comfortable to wear and great visually. Enjoy yours.

Lovely watch but the sub dial spacing is still a huge tell. Wear it well as its still a classic

  8. Suuuuuuuhweeeeet!! That's a beast right there!! The ZZr600 was my first 'big bike' and I loved it, bought a G1 Model ZX6R after that, awesome bike, could throw it around like a toy, sooo much fun on the track!! Then got wiped out and my back badly broken and was off them for a while. Then I got a CBR600fx and played on that for a while, getting my confidence back, my right leg was partially paralysed after the crash. After I got some confidence back and changed my riding style a bit to offset my right leg I got a GSXR1000 ltd ed Black Stealth, (I'll need to get a pic of that with my Blacksteel at somepoint!! Never thought of that!) I had a friend from when I raced who made custom rearsets, he made me a set with the right hand one a bit 'spikier' than the left so my boot wouldn't slide off and I was gone!! It's a K4 edition, puts out around 185BHP at the back and handles like an absolute dream!!

I so wish I could still ride, even when it's raining or freezing cold, I would still love to be out there with a huge grin on my face!!

Getting a Blade to do as it's told around Knockhill!!

Getting the R1 over a 'bump' at Cadwell!!

    post-18919-126696611315_thumb.jpg

You should talk to Bike Mike, as his name suggests he can peddle a good bit too!! He has awesome pics from his racing/track days!!

    Stay safe man!!

    Sixx :bones:

Awesome bike and pics, that takes talent and guts to do Cadwell after a bad accident, Respect :drinks:

  9. say it ain't so! say it ain't so! You don't know about the gloriousness that is baselworld? It's only the biggest annual watch and jewelry exhibition in the world. Over 2,000 retailers set up elaborate stands and displays to show the world their visions and designs for the new year. This is where all research for new models for the chinese factories begins. It's because of baselworld that we have the Skyland Blacksteel, Cousteau Divers, Rolex DSSD, Sinn, etc.. and other popular models. Baselworld gives forums all over the world the chance to see the latest designs and comment on them, the factories get requests from all over and then a few months later we see the best, and most-called-for designs replicated :)

I just wish I could go this year!!!!!

I still have alot to learn :victory:

After 25 years of Honda's this is my first Kawasaki which I,ve had to 2 years and love it.

It handles better then my old blackbirds and suits my 6ft 4 height, I took out the secondary flies and fitted a PC so now its got 172 at the back wheels and over 100 ft lbs of torque :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  11. I,ve been into watches for ages and I was warned at the time I found this site that it would prove both expensive and addictive.................. and you were right.

I am now coming to an end of my collection and currently happy with my selection and not looking at adding any more, then again how many of you out there said that :)

So on to the pictures in no order. Sorry for the quality but I am crap at taking photos but have tried to show the watches + the lume shots to the best of my very limited knowledge of photography.
