Well I've been waiting for my 194 and my SC Legend buckle to do a photoshoot with this strap but the SC buckle is taking a year and a day to get here so I figured I'd post some pics and thank Bebenn for all the work he's done with these pouches!

First off I would like to say Bebenn on RG is da shiznit. He's donated his time and effort to bring these straps to life. Great guy to deal with and someone I consider to be a friend.

For those of you unfamiliar with the project I snagged a set of pouches off a Feyadheen who no longer needed them any further. I contacted Bebenn who said he would make a set of straps from the 4 pouches, one of which was enhanced with said haji's DNA Novesh from RG was dying for a strap from that pouch so I let him have that one.

The straps themselves are pure sex- even without the provenance. Beautiful honey leather with natural waxed stitching. They started out stiff from exposure to the climate in Iraq but have softened up considerably under Bebenn's skilled hands.

They're 3.5mm thick and it came with 2 WIDE keepers- very much in line with the feel of the Egi and my new 194. I actually think I am going to throw this strap on my 194 but these would work well with any 26mm lugged PAM.

Edges have been burnished with minimal edge treatment allowing the grain of the leather to show. Absolutely phenomenal job by Bebenn here- they look exactly like what I pictured in my mind when I sent the pouches off.

I added a little somethin-someting to the back of my strap this morning and figured it was too cool not to share, despite my buckle not being here so I snapped some quick pics.

MO is to build up a very good short term reputation, buy a few small things, sell a few small things then post a high dollar watch or watches, take multiple payments for the same watch (via WU, Moneygram or money order) then disappear. Dom will NOT take PP so it's the biggest tip-off.

If someone is selling a watch and is requesting WU or similar to be sent to OK in general and Edmond in particular I would be VERY hesitant to do so considering this guy's track record of ripping off close to 2000 bucks from various members on RG as well as RWI.

First off let me say I am so damn happy RWG is up and running! And thanks to the mods for giving us RG refugees a place to run and hide

The Long Island GTG has been scheduled for the 18th of July.

I've got 60 burgers, 40 Nathans dogs and a bunch of snacks laid in with a good supply of adult malt beverages.

40x20 inground is open and reasonably warm and the kneebiter has his XBox 360 set up and has all kinds of age-appropriate things for children from 5-ish up to Jr. High.

Steaks and crab legs are on the menu as well depending on turnout.

This is a no-charge GTG although showing up with a 6 pack of unusual microbrews is encourgaed.

In addition- I spend my time surrounded not just by guns but automatic weapons. Every single individual I work with is armed with no less than an automatic (NOT semi-automatic) rifle or submachinegun and a handgun. None of us has shot each other over the past 20 years.

I often wonder about the delusional mind of those who favor additional gun laws tacked onto the 35,000 existing ones. Does anyone honestly believe someone who wants to commit the ultimate crime, the single most destructive thing one human can do to another, will suddenly stop and say "I better not kill this guy because I might get in trouble for having a gun"? How can someone support the theory that a 120 pound woman should be forced to fistfight a 280 pound rapist? According to the FBI UCR for the past 20 years more people have been killed with hands and feet than with misnamed "assault weapons" (an assault weapon is one capable of both semi automatic and full automatic fire and have been essentially illegal since 1934). Perhaps we should ban hands and feet from the general public. Ater all, only a police officer or a soldier really needs hands and feet.

I for one will not look to big daddy government to come help my family and I. I have been in law enforcement for over 12 years and KNOW what response times are and what happens when the deputy is on the other end of the county from the call. I do not pass my obligation to stand in harms way when some tweaker kicks in my front door to someone else- I stand firm and end the threat to my life and safety- PERIOD.

Also, having an anscestor who was a Polish Jew and knowing my great grandfather was forced to wear a yellow star, was beaten and humiliated and marched into a [censored]ing oven without a chance for him, his family and his countrymen to defend themselves kind of gives me a strong opinion on the subject. NEVER AGAIN is the cry of Israel and it should be heeded- they know of what they speak.

Above all, to the sheep in the world, the sole reason you sleep secure in your bed is because rough men stand ready to do violence on your behalf.
