So...after 1 year of building Pams, I am back to my first love, IWC. Its about time for an IWC homeboy.
Nothing to say that has not already been said of the TG. Excellent build quality.
Great weekends boys...
Cheers
Jo
Short of getting an EL 029 or 063, you might have better use for the 2893. I am in the smae boat as well. Bought the movement and now don't really know wat to do with it but I am quite sure I'll think of something.
Thanks Toad for compiling this.
So this is gonna be my first Rollie projet and I intend to use Andy's 2893 as a base. So apart from luming the makers... is there anything I should keep a lookout for? How bout the datewheel? where can I source the open "6" and open "9" date wheel?
The lume area is as fat as the indices and the lume is extended nearer the tip. Spin modded my 202A hands to make the lume area nearer to the tip. Nothing he can do to the width of the lume area though
Fooling myself that I could pick up luming.
Fooling myself that I can "upgrade" my reps by buying individual parts and installing em myself.
Fooling myself that I could mod watch case by modding individual parts (CG pins, annon pinions etc...)
I resign myself to polishing my cases with Cape Cod nowadays.
