Its a free economy. Not happy with price. Don't buy, for we all know that all swan necks are not 100% Swiss. The only swan-necks that are Swiss comes from Panerai. DSN is not claiming anything different from what the other dealers are claiming. So he is not a crook by my standards. If he is he would have been driven out of the forums. DSN might miss out a certain part now and then but that's not really the trait of a crook, its just being human.

Many kudos to you as well in getting the datewheels done. A service that is much appreciated by the community.

Monday: Panda Prototype on A Dirk's PAV Cheers S181

Its been raining since yesterday evening so I was unable to shoot in natural light. Some pics update and recipe that went into this project. 1. EL 188 case 2. 7753 from a Hamilton 3. LEO 7753 datewheel and T48 crown 4. Hands and dial lumed by Ziggi with a matte coat applied afterwards. 5. Assembled by Spinmaster. Did somebody mention a lumeshot? WIth regards to the clear coat, perhaps Ziggi will chime in on this. But I think its applied after the lume. Yes its a LEO datewheel. The positioning of the dates are in fact better than my Lello datewheel thats on my 250. Its a tad thick though. I dont have the financial bandwidth to do another 7753 daylight, Kruz. Its just that I know that there's another black and white Panda dial set on the way back to its owner here and will soon make its debut on RWG. Cheers S181

I am sure glad I didn't. But as you would already know Rob, this won't be the only Panda here. Very soon, it will be joined by its twin....as early as a week from now...

So I had a 7753 Hamilton that I could not move on the forums. I was contemplating on building a 188 but when I saw how beautiful Kruezer's Panda was... I was sold. Some quick pics of a watch that very nearly did not come to fruition... Sorry for the bad pics. They really dont do justice to the watch but I just can't wait till the weekend. SO here goes.... Dial and hands were lumed by Ziggi with a clear matte coat applied on the dial. Brilliant result. Watch was then assembled by Spinmaster. Thanks guys. Don't think it will leave my wrist anytime soon. Right... It dawned upon me, quite late in the game, that display casebacks are not gonna make me happy. I chanced upon an EL 01B thick caseback and went about converting my 111 to a 01B. Also managed to find a nice A series CG. Thanks to Wolf for the dial and Spin for the assembly. So here are the pics. 2 more PAM projects to go. 1 set of dial coming in from Canada and 1 Pre-V dial being retouched. Hope I can get them both completed by Christmas. Cheers S181

CASE The case of an old daylight will fit an ETA 7753 with some minor modification (date wheel pusher mod). HANDS Best you look for hands from the low beat A7750. A bit of research here won't hurt. Something's to do with the hands' posts and stands. DIAL. Well documented problem that if you want a 7753 project, you are going to need a daylight dial for the 7753 movt specifically. Its got something to do with the location of the datewindow. Cheers S181
