The Blue portuguese chrono is the best looking out of the whole lot.
The dial colour is inaccurate though. Its pure white in the gen but the rep has it in silver. What's wring with the rep makers.
So Pug, graphite treatment or a gen movt?
No worries Jurgen, glad to help and i look forward to your masterpiec. Probably gonna be the best 250 in the fora.
@wolf: I'll try to get my mate to upload some pics. In fact those pictures have already been sent to LEO as feedback.
You know the thing about these "misalignments", it's all about from which angle and elevation you look from. Even the "11" "looks good" from certain angle.
DSN stuff is one of the best out of the box but bear in mind that his parts might have fitment problems with the cartel parts. or example, cartel CGs have been known not to be able to fit to DSN cases... etc...etc. So be aware before you pull the trigger
My idea of a 3 must have Pams in any PAM collection.
1. PAM 111
2. 028/029/027 (Sweeping central seconds)
3. A Daylight (196/250/188/251)
A small yet comprehensive and varied line-up. For panerais, you cannot get em all.

Thanks guys...
Its a T48 PVD crown modded to fit the 0.9mm stem of the 2892 movt. A lil bit of epoxy and you are good to go. There are issues with the crown lever not touching the crown but the lever closes very tight to the crwon guard. The visual aesthetics of T crown overrides that flaw. So the hunt for a unmodded PVD crown lever continues.
The strap is from TC. They had a 47% discount with an RG coupon so I grabbed an MP vintage tan with the PVD buckle. This watch deserves nothing less than an MP.

Dang... did I really post this in the trading section???? Noob mistake. Noob mistake. Mods, please move this to the PAM subforum before I get PMs for a sale.
Lets get this straight, the DSN 028 is a good rep out of the box. For its price, it had better be. But the A N A L retentiveness in most of us would never wear a rep out of the box. Its a price that we pay for being in this hobby.
SO a LEO's DW upgrade is in order and here is the result.
There is some misalignment for 4 of the days. "11" ~ "14" sit slightly slower that the other days, "11" being the worst but even "11" is acceptable. (I have seen worse misalignments in Gens... a certain Big Ingy comes to mind) The other days are dead center. Due to the size of the fonts, magnification is much better.
How do I compare this to my Lello modded 029? The 029 wins hands down in terms of clarity but not in terms of magnification. the dates look bigger in my 028 but the "whiteness" loses out to the 029. I boil this down to the dual cyclops and the sandwich crystal of the 028. LEO's datewheel are whiter than DSN's for sure. Darn DSN crystal.
Hope this helps.

So we can't use the word P....N wprd anymore.... this is seriously out of whack. Mods please remove the word from the thread title if it will improve the situation
You said it mate. Glad you are enjoying it.
One thing that was bothering me was that I felt that the cyclops was not centered on the datewheel dsiplay. ie; the date does not appear in the center of the cyclops. Glad to see that the gen is similiar as well.
Wednesday... PAM 028A
Surprisingly, these latest DSN offerings are not as popular as I thought it was going to be.
Awaiting Datewheels from Spain. PVD T-crown has arrived and the PVD looks similiar to DSN's so its a GO...GO...GO

I get my tailored shirts from Bangkok, Thailand. It helps when the city is only a 3 hour flight away from where I am at. Lots of things to do as well when you are there.
