  1. Hahaha... Thanks Toad. Its not the first time I've been told to brush up on my photos. Somebody needs to teach me how to use Photoshop.....Dang it, you guys are good. Errrr... you mind PSing the rest??? Cheers Siesta181
  2. Hi Guys, Some might have known abt the troubles I faced when I went about getting this baby recently.... but it was all worth it. Its a splurge especially in this climate but the price was irresistable and there are no reps of this model yet. So here it is. Just couldn't get the lighting right but I must say its a magnificent looking watch. Good balance. Bigger and heavier than the Port 7 days but smaller than the BP. Definitely wearable for people with smaller wrists... Enjoy.... Cheers Siesta181
  3. wow... you are way ahead of the game my friend... welcome aboard
  4. Any chance of letting us have a peek at your treasure trove of busted gens ???
  5. Guys, One to one exchange. Within 15 minutes. The staff at Richemont were quite sheepish at the apparent lack of QC. Gave me a deployant buckle for all my trouble. Date wheel is not centered for all the 3 replacement watches they gave to me for me to choose from. Is this a trait of the 5001 movt? Any Port 7 day owners who can chime in. Cheers Siesta181
  6. Sweet watch dude.... Does it cure cancer too????
  7. Back from my hissy fit and much calmer now..... Thanks for all the kind words. I have assurances that it will be resolved. A possible 1 to 1 exchange very likely. So alls well. Just serves to remind us that we should never take things for granted. I sourced the watch from a very very very reliable place so their assurances gave me piece of mind. What concerns me is that this fault is something that can be avoided with visual QC. Open eyes and look. It shudders to think that there could be a loose screw in the movt. Hey they can miss out a lume marker..... nothing is impossible.
  8. Guys, I know this is a place for replica discussion but I think I should bring this up as some of do collect gens as well. I woke this morning feeling upbeat. First time in a very long time that I actually look forward to a Monday. No Monday morning blues whatsoever. Why??? I had an appointment to collect my Big Ingy at 11.30am. Giants won while I slept and Colts beat the Chargers (Lani & I were in da booth calling the play by play, Corgi & Patinga were missed). Perfect day.... so far Collected the watch... didn't really look in detail... hey its a gen. So off it went to my drawer while I went abt my work (Its a Monday afterall) Fast forward 6 hours. Back home open the box and the Big Ingy was staring straight at me... mighty fine looking watch, I must say. But hey... wait a minute. WHERE"S THE BLOODY LUME PAINT AT THE "9" STICK MARKER????????? WTF. The DW didnt look too aligned either. Off it went into the box. Not looking forward to a Tuesday which I forsee will be a long day at the Service Center. But you gotta to love this.... Cheers Siesta181
  9. Sander, Sorry to hear all your problem but there's very little that we can do once we send the money across. Due to the nature of the product, we have no legal recourse should any problem arise. What we can do is complain and inform others. I have been faithfully using one dealer eversince I got into this hobby and I believe having a relationship with the dealer is important. Having the right expectation level is also important. These things are priced so for a reason. That's what these forums are so. To learn from other members' experiences and mistakes. The feedback and trade review are there for such a purpose. Stay away from the bad dealers. They are in the business for money. Let them know of what we feel about them with our wallets. No point complaining abt em only to run back to them for our reps. My 2 cents Cheers Siesta181
  10. Great catch on Taka's BCE. Saw it in real life. You are one lucky guy. Nice combo too. Wear em in good health. Cheers Siesta181
  11. Sweet watch.... Congrats I have an UPO in the mail from Hont. Will be collecting gen parts the next few months for a franken project as well As always, great work The Zigmeister. Wear it well. Cheers Siesta181
  12. Nice Ebel... Lani Wednesday, Ingy with Jakub's AR + Lello DW
  13. A shot of single malt whiskey straight up and you'll be fine. Should we keep a lookout for you on Dancing with with the Stars?? Cheers Siesta181
  14. @dluddy - That is one sweet 3717 .
  15. Congrats Toad. You are a definite assest to RWG with your knowledge and pictorials. A fine gentleman indeed. Cheers Siesta181
  16. @Coolfire - Yup... Rain test passed. Dont think i want to subject it to other tests.... Its a good idea to keep an umbrella in your car for rainy days....... just make sure its not at the car-boot. @Hike - Nice AP. Been eyeing one for a while.. alas
  17. The Zigmeister helped me out when I had my first problem with my rep. That's why I love RWG so much. There's always someone you can turn to. Cheers Siesta181
  18. Just received new HKTan Croc from vlydog... so I am wearing this today. Cheers Siesta181
  19. Croc makes all the difference but not necessarily one from Breitling. Mine's custom made by Cajun.. Gen Calf is many times better than the rep strap from our dealers. IMO Cheers Siesta
  20. Senna is King... Arrogant yet likable. Sad that he went the way he did. Hamilton's a good driver, a very good one I must say. But there's something about him that rubs me the wrong way though. No conspiracy in Glock slowing down for Hammie. Hamilton got 5th fair and square. I dont like it but that's the truth. Having said that though, Glock's a C O C K for not being able to hold on to 5th position
  21. Thanks for the heads up Cara.... Went there over the weekend with the gf.... she went crazy with all the diamond studded watches.
