  1. Holy crap, what a lume!!! :Jumpy::clap::notworthy:

    And great hint, thanks!!! :bounce:

I too purchased some RSG pigments (green/green, uncolored/green, uncolored/acqua, and uncolored/yellow) some time ago, and I was just waiting to get the nerve (and info) to try them on a test dial.

Please give us some more details -- especially:

    - What did you use as a medium?

    - Which ratio of pigment vs medium did you use?

    - How did you obtain a proper adhesion to the hands and marks? (glue into the medium, or what?)

    - Did you relume the hands on their back or front?

    - What did you use to apply the lume?

Really thanks! I am eager to try to follow your steps...

I have the ofrei bergeon lume that comes with medium. The RSG has much better performance so I only use the medium from the ofrei kit. I've heard that clear fingernail polish will work as well, and near as I can tell that is basicly what the medium is. After mixing, I applied to the markers with a black oiler. I didn't do the hands as they didn't need it.

I haven't had much luck in my few attempts to lume hands. I've tried a few times and just can't get the hang of it yet.

  2. I've tried to contact TriTrc via email about their super lume but I never got a response, and at something like $60 a gram... blink.gif

Anyway, heres an alternative I've had success with and cost less than $10 an ounce. The granule size is too large as is for use on dials soi you'll need to crush it in a mortar & pestal to suitable size. This degrades lume properties abit but still damn site better than most OEM lumed dials. Heres a Wo-Mart 177 I used it on.

  3. Got this 1 in the other day. Except for the new movement, it ain't much to crow about. So a couple do-it-yourself (free) mods were in order: file the hands doen to take advantage of the OEM cannon pinion and hour wheel, and a new lume job. For another $130 or so I can add the Davidsen crystal & palp crown - maybe someday....

  4. I don't really do movement reviews per se. So I'll just give overall impression.

This 1 has the correct sized balance at 21K BPH. The overall finish on the bridges is a bit better than the swiss version. The blue font is engraved on this version - not stick on. No ETA marks under the balance. Balance has 2 screws instead of the problematic [censored] configuration. But you can notice how ill-fitting the adjacent pins are. I don't know if it has the proper sized cannon pinon & hour wheel yet. A big plus if it does.

    Don't pay 'SWISS' prices :bleh:

  5. The regulator arm is different - still, the balance wheel is the new style from the problematic movement. Sadly, the balance spring in the affected area is unsharp.

Not the same problem movement that The Zigmeister reported on.

  6. iv always said it pual has the best prices on the net for eta models :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I got the new Sub plus the '04 model (about a year ago) as well. The older model has better date wheel, but the newer one has better everything else - pearl, CGs, correct holo. But for some explicable reason the crown is oversized and much taller than on '04 model. I think its because of the new model having more correct CGs (more space between them) than the '04 they had to come with a better fitiing crown even though way too tall....

  7. i am interesting about Omega PO 45mm black bezel

but i see many different models. One with black numerals and other with orange numerals. Also one model with gold color 2836-2 and other wit nickel 2824-2

what is the difference and which model is the best version?

    thanks friends

The Aspire version has the AR coated crystal (not sure if any of the other dealer's have this) and is available in rubber instead of SS (again, not sure if the other dealers have rubber to fit 45mm) all for only $169 & includes shipping :yeah:
