  1. With black modeller's enamel, enamel solvent and an ear cotton tip. Spread a thin enamel layer on the engravings, then gently wipe it with the soaked cotton tip. Don't exert any pressure; in this way, the enamel won't be removed from the grooves
  2. No, I can't agree. This is the only somehow remediable flaw on the GMT IIc:
  3. It seems to me that something similar already existed: http://www.pam111.com/images/productimages...850/W1804-8.jpg It isn't identical, but the principle remains the same
  4. Forse, dire "Appassionato di orologi"
  5. Puoi contattarlo tramite il modulo apposito sul suo sito ("contact") comunicandogli il tuo indirizzo email. Ti riscriver
  6. Nobody has managed to reproduce the correct AR effect until now. It looks gen to me.
  7. Vacheron Constantin Patrimony silver dial? Beautiful watch, but bad rep...
  8. Sorry to hear that your beautiful country is going through such a terrible time, and so many have lost so much, even their lives; but glad to hear that you, your friends and your related are well. I sympathize with you, still aware that words are useless
  9. The easiest way is starting the cronograph and counting the ticks of the second hand between two minute markers. Three ticks = 21600; four ticks= 28800.
  10. I read somewhere that indicating the AM/PM was the original purpose of the 24h hand of the Explorer II; the watch was meant for speleologists that could lose the notion of time, so they couldn't tell if it was morning or evening. To such an intent, a non-adjustable hand makes sense. It isn't a GMT hand
  11. I'd extend such an "atrocity" concept to the bezel insert, the dial, the bracelet...
  12. The seller doesn't pretend it's a gen. He clearly hints it's a rep.
  13. I realized it, but I couldn't edit my post... This is the correct veriosn:
  14. When I was a little boy I would build plastic models (planes, cars). Once I built a Lockeed F-104 Starfighter, 1:32 scale, that included the engine too. You had to assemble and paint the engine parts. Then, the engine was put inside the fuselage, where it couldn't be seen. Another time, I assembled a Formula 1. The kit included some decals to be applied on the shock absorbers, hidden inside the body. A reproduction is a reproduction; and the accuracy isn't questionable. If someone wanted to cheat, could he count on the markers between the lugs? As you say, they cannot be seen; so how could he count on them? On the other side, if someone can remove the bracelet, in the same way he can check the movement or other parts For my part, I don't think ill of anyone.
