  1. I took some pictures quickly, but I am home alone so it was kind of hard to take them well! Real PVD done by Ajoesmith Real AR done by Cheiftang Real Superluminova done by The Zigmeister.... Anyway here you go: (doesnt you like that combination..I mean I am Dutch and 2night it's play time!!)
  2. The tax is based on the repair price ($70) that was written on the package.
  3. IT ALL WORKED OUT WELL!!! The customs did not check the package...or at least they didnt take the effort to open it! I will need to pay 13 Euro duty tax, but I am happy to do so! I guess I have just been very lucky! Thank you all for the great reply's! After all, I think it has been Fedex and Fedex only that made a fuzz and that I have been lucky at the customs! Cheers!
  4. I've told my story (about the broken watch..) on mail to Fedex and they have send the watch to the Dutch customs. Tomorrow I will probably know if they will allow the watch into the country or not...
  5. The watch was sent from Bahrain, not the USA (my bad).
  6. Today I got a letter from Fedex which I will copy (and translate here): Geachte heer, Via onze klantenservice ontving ik het verzoek u een email te sturen met de benodigdheden voor inklaring van bovengenoemde zending. Gelieve uw reactie te richten aan nl-import@fedex.com Met vriendelijke groet, FedEx Express EMEA Northern Europe Dear sir, We would like to know the following from you: 1) Has the watch been sent for repair to Bahrain and has this watch now been sent back? 2) Have you been on vacation to Bahrain and did you forget the watch? If it's the second then a copy of your passport is enough. If it's the first, then there are two options: Was the repair temporarily (I don't understand this)?? If so all you need is a prove of export, so a prove that you have shipped the watch to Bahrain. But if the repair was permanent then you will need to pay duty tax + normal tax (19%). Please let us know as soon as possible, Fedex What would you advice me to replay? Please!
  7. Thanks, I guess I will just call them and tell them I have no prove it's mine because I bought it second hand from a friend for 250 Euro "Sold as seen with mechanical problems as agreed" and that I've found a cheap fix on the internet from a hobbyist. I will just ask them friendly what we can do about it. And $500 is a lot for me, I am not walking away from it w/o a fight, but I wont extand my lies either.
  8. OK thank you. I guess I'll tell them the following: I bought the watch from a friend of mine for 700 Euro nearly a year ago and that it needed repair for special servicing, something that is a lot more expensive in The Netherlands. I have never thought the customs would make a fuzz out of this, as it ain't a that expensive watch. Do you think I should tell them this? What should I change in this story? Could anyone please rewritten it (as you can see my English ain't good; I need a dictionary to understand nakiraa's posts complety )? You would have my eternal respect! I am not good at these kind of things
  9. If I ask them to return the package to the sender do you think they will refuse? Edit: and second-handed B&R's are being sold for as low as $1500 on ebay, so those watches are not that expensive.
  10. So, is there any hope for me getting the watch w/o having to pay 19% of $5000 (that's what a gen costs) ? I'm getting more and more desperate
  11. I've bought a watch (rep) from a fellow member on these boards and he send the watch with Fedex to The Netherlands. On the package he wrote: "Repaired and returned timepiece valued at $70" Now I got a letter from Fedex, stating that the customs want prove that it's my watch and prove that I have shipped it from the Netherlands to the USA first. I can't prove any of these two things... What can I do? Is there anyting I can say to defend myself? I dont mind using a lie to get my watch, because im a poor student and my last money went into this watch! Any help would be very much appreciated!!!
  12. I will only be lucky if the customs wont destroy the watch!!! Fingers crossed!
