Excellent. I want the pristine one out of the lot please. Forum: Kevlar strap suggestions?!??? I've decided against leather and will go Kevlar and deployment or tang. If anyone did research, and or laid eyes on or touched one, in the past and one aftermarket kevlar supplier stands above the rest, drop me a name. Thanks!

Where do I fit into this gen vs rep thread with my 100% gen Concepta piece? I bought the 3717 rep, v1, modified datewheel, ar, dropped accidentally, sent in to get it fixed, was told that the Asian parts are not as serviceable as the real thing. Wore busted for a while. Decided I love the watch. Contacted Concepta, made a transfer out of bank account...stay tuned for the rest. I will now have a genuine IWC movement ticking away on my wrist for significantly less than the price of new piece. I pride myself on being frugal. I like to have nice things but I never pay retail.

There are, I believe, two other competing designs. Some rectangular thing with krusy the klown batteries and some DIY pieces. This one though, has been through re-designs to make it as close to a reliable mainstream piece as possible. Except the 55/20mm size. The case itself is machined with precision, waterproof, mineral crystal, form factor is also as compact as can be. The first design was tested for many days before a fault was discovered with the control module if you will, the watch was then redesigned to incorporate a newer more reliable unit. This could look real nice on a decent strap to match! I mean, if there was ever a conversation piece. I wish he would have gone bigger on the lugs and sourced a wider strap for this, it looks like a regular 18-21 sized strap.

Yeah, I think I'd like to have one. If my money doesn't go to this guy it'll just go to my local garage for alternator or some other BS everyday expense. PM me over the coming week if you'd like to do a group buy and try to chip a bit off the price.

There is a total of ONE post on this site on the topic of a nixie tube wristwatch. The one from cathodecorner dot com slash nixiewatch, is a design that spent a significant amount of in development, was re-engineered and re-designed before the current iteration. Check out the video of Steve Wozniak playing with his copy. I'm really thinking about picking one up and putting a nice thick strap on it. Talk me out of it? I decided to go ahead with mine all gen project only hours after you originally posted this. I too am thinking about what to mount it on. I don't want it sitting in a winder. A used gen bracelet would be ideal but realistically maybe a kevlar strap and deploy clasp is a good compromise.
