  1. Thanks for the information, found my dealer and watch See you in couple years or when I need another rep...
  2. Thanks Z Based on the much appreciated education you provided, it appears there are no good daily-wear rep options for my genuine 5508
  3. I will ask again..... Which DEALER has the best Vintage that would replicate my Genuine Rolex 5508 I shown in my post Is Connie's the best? I do not like wearing my genuine vintages, they are more for investment I would like a replica that is most like my 5508 and I could "age" and "distress" to match the Rolex I keep in the safe Recomendatons, please
  4. Connie emailed me... they are her sites
  5. I think the http://www.kingshowbox.com/goods-4842.html ordered without a band will be the best daily were to replace my Gen 5508 I will add the British NATO Is there a better match out there... see my pic
  6. Is www.kingwatches.net and www.kingshowbox.com the same Mrs. King?
  7. Can Silix do this? 180164985427 This how a Rolex 5508 should look http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...y0%3D%26fvi%3D1
  8. Thanks for the honest response. See your PM
  9. Yes, gen. I was offered over $2,000.00 US for the case (has new crystal/seals/bezel), the dial face (needs refinished) and the movement which is in pieces. I working toward finishing the restoration, but so far the best price I have to rebuild the movement is $1200 to $1300 US and $260 to refinish the dial. I thought it too much
  10. I know why nobody bothers to make the replica James Bond Rolex.... I have a genuine with a gilt dial and when worn it seldom gets a glance and never any comments. It just looks like a cheap small watch regardless of its outrageous $15,000 to $20,000 appraised value. My Seiko Monster Blue, Black, or Orange look better and get more complements that any Rolex I own. Bottom-line the James Bond is NOT a looker.
  11. I have a Rolex Red Sub 1680 but the movement 1575 (1570) is a bad. I wonder which ETA or ? will fit the factory case and dial face so the date window lines up. The eta movements I have all have the date wheel too far to the edge to match the 1680 dial face and the fake dial faces made for ETA's are too large for the genuine Rolex case.
  12. Yes, I am a troll and this a fake I made in my basement Not sure what you guys looking for... thought I pass along some info... but it appears that is a waste of time on some. The watch the rare Genuine 5508 Gilt dial "swiss - T < 25". I will be sure to scrap off the T <25 so it looks more correct Outta here...
  13. I may get around to posting pictures soon and I promised some to Jay as well... who knows what that could lead to!!! Anyway, I have other watches in the fix-up pipe line, but this 5508 gets attention soon, FYI, the watch runs! This baby is true blue and the dial is Soooo NICE it needs a new crystal to show it off! Thanks for interest.
  14. Yea... I cannot be believed. But, when I heard that a COMEX sold for over $100,000.00 I figure somebody here would make an offer figuring I just fell of the Watermelon Truck. FYI, This watch gained fame in the 1964 James Bond movie Goldfinger. Some say it worth $4K - $5K other say if I located the orginal receipt (Purchased in St admin in 1962) it could go over $10K because the dial and hands are untouched and GREAT conditon behind the well worn orginal crystal. Because the watch has never been worked on... I am still trying to decide weather to rebuild or leave in it current condition. Comments welcome
  15. Bought his for $10.00 at a flea market Gee, what should I do with it?
