  1. no reason... just didnt want to bore anyone with the details. the crown does not screw in or out smoothly and only requires about a half turn before its screwed down or out. this is not correct i imagine. the gmt hand sometimes drags upon start up when the watch powers down completely and has to be restarted. i figured while the crown was being replaced i could have the watchsmith look at the movement and see if a lube would help. im also open to the possibility of switching out the movement for a true gmt movement. (i know this requires new hands and lots of work) hope that helps! thanks again.
  2. forgot to mention i have sent TRC a pm. would prefer someone in the states because it just might be easier.
  3. Hello, not been on this board much but wanted to say thanks for all the valuable information i have read. i have crown issues (not resolved by dealer) that i need addressed i would also like the movement looked at while it was apart. who do you guys reccomend here for this type of work? Thanks!
  4. speaking of stuffy. i just got CENSORED LOL my bad i will try to keep it G rated i guess. geez....
  5. im not scared.... im on both boards.... started at TZ....moved to WUS.... on RG and now here. i like my gens....my homage.... and i can see how some reps would be good. right now im a little [censored] about my rep gmtIIc... but if i get the kinks worked out it will be a nice watch. everyone should keep an open mind and not be so stuffy!
  6. this maybe my first post here.... but i can tell you after all my issues with my josh gmtIIc i can tell you that my future purchases will be from either Eurotimez or BK. of course that limits my offerings but im ok with that.
  7. donpedro, good advice! i have a watch guy who MIGHT oil it for me. but i would have to send it to him via mail. keep coming with the advice and assistance i REALLY appreciate it!
  8. Samurai, thank you so much for your experiences. wear those in good health!
  9. thanks guys! i have already "read around" and most of what i was finding was the guys/gals who posted their watch upon its arrival. i was asking how they are still doing after some wear and abuse. didnt see much on that topic as i searched. as for emailing dealers... didnt want to bother them (i know they are busy trying to ship your watches out). i just thougth people here would love to talk about their hublot experiences.
  10. First, thanks for the opportunity to join the forum. i have several gens (rolex/breitling) and i am looking to purchase my first rep... a Hublot Bang. My question is how well are they holding up? any issues? i have read post after post, and have decided on either the ice ultimate with the ceramic bezel, or the platinum mat. i originally wanted the all black, but i THINK the date wheel is white with black font. that is a BIG problem for me for some reason. Can anyone offer me some advice as far as how they like their mats or ice and how they are holding up to day to day wear and or abuse? really concerned about the finish wearing off for some dumb reason... also if you have any insight on the date wheel for the all black i would love to hear it. once again thank you and i look forward to hearing all of your valuable knowledge and opinions!
