IS the swiss movement that much better than the modified asian? is it worth the extra 600 dollars? Will it last that much longer? any help to these questions would really be appreciated. Thanks
Dustin
I'm also interested in these questions....

Thanks for the help, Pugwash. You sound like a lot of things.
I hope that a lot of people read this statement and think the same as I do...

There are Breitling Navis with the 6-9-12 chrono arrangements (Speciale) that will take 7750 mvts.
And what about the 3-6-9 Navitimers?
-
Unbelievable.
-
The Daytona's movement is a ticking time bomb, and is not worth the risk. The Breitling is better in general, they both are just as accurate, but the Breitling has no finicky movement issues like the Daytona.
Don't they both have the ASIAN 7750?

Thinking of getting the same watch. It's a lot of hardware, but it's a beauty.
I think I'll wear this August when I visit scenic Swilzerland.
Anybody know if a rose gold or yellow gold edition is in the works?
Beanyboy
What does "scenic Swilzerland" mean?
-
Well, but the screws on the movement are differently placed on the rep compared to the gen.
This doesn't bother you guys?
-
Yes.
After comparing to gen, I noticed, that the engraving on the backside isn't as proper as it should be for a $10k-watch...so this will be easily spotted I think. What do you think about that "flaw".
In general: great watch from a great dealer....usually not a second to think about.
What kind of movement is it? Swiss?
-
As per watcher71.
Blue for SS
Black for Platinum
Gold for Rose Gold version
But the engraving is only correct for the SS one, the engraving is 177/3000 or something which is only true for SS model.
Production for rose good is 1000 and 500 for Platium.
Cheers
So the most accurate version would be ELs one with the blue hands, right?
-
What about the colour of the hands? What is correct - black or blue or both?
Thank you very much!

My IWC does the same thing.
Any possibility to get this serviced?

What about Precious-Time's Vintage Daytona Lemania?
What do you think about it?
-
After I have seen now, what is available on modern DAYTONAs, I'd prefer a vintage-edition.
Any recommendation?
-
Hi!
I'm interested in buying a Rolex Daytona. Which one could you recommend for my purchase? Any very good/accurate versions available? What are the most flaws I have to take care of?
Thank you, guys!

It's a shame they are now fitting those LVs with such incorrect hour markers....
What's incorrect?
-
Cool.
Great dial with correct hour markers and nice print.
Congrats!
It still has the bezel-flaw with the numbers: they aren't right centered on the bezel (compare the space over and below the numbers!)

Some reps can use the refills, others don't.
I hope you'll find a way of swapping the ink...
Does anyone has experience with Montplanc-Rep-Pens?
If so, please let us know which models are easy to swap the ink!
-
Does someone has any experience about changing a Montblanc-pen-crayon of a rep Montblanc pen?
Does the gen ink-crayon fit on the rep or what could someone do if the ink is empty?
Thanks

Oil the bracelet and you will be much ahppier. it is night and day. When you get it it is gritty and squeaky. Oil it and it is identical to Gen.
How to oil the complete bracelet?

i agree...get the 177H with the new swan neck...
Who offers the best 177H with the new swan neck?
Thanks.

Thanks. Is this a g-series-movement?

Hi!
I'm looking for the correct movement of a Fiddy (PAM127). Could anyone please show me a photo of the correct movement of the Fiddy?
Thank you!
-
The letter series in Panerais pretty much pertain to the year or years of manufacture of the watch, H would be around 2005, E would be around 2002 I would assume, but don't quote me on that.
The difference is, that the H series watches movements have Cote de Geneve finish on the bridges, while earlier series al have the engraved "Panerai Panerai Panerai" bridges. The blue screws for the cog wheels is indeed a mistake, and should not be there.
There is also a difference in some H models, some H model PAMs now have sandwich dials, as opposed to earlier models, models like 176, 177, 111 come to mind. There is no H series Fiddy, btw, since it was a limited edition of the E series.
Do the gens also (H-series) have sandwich-dial?
-
The good mbws have the best case and correct placement of the date window and cyclops but the rest of the dial is not quite as good, also the etching on the crystal is much better.
Do you mean, that the MBWs dials also haven't the correct font, and the CGs and the crown itself isn't correct?
Why This?

Hi!
Why do the factories such big mistakes in producing replicas?
To the story:
I wanted to buy one of ELs really great GMTs, he offers at the moment. (They look in fact really great!)
So I compared his pics of the watch with the gen on the Panerai-Page...and what happened?
Well, I noticed a really big flaw, which makes all reps easy to spot as reps: there is no minute-mark on the Position of "9" - between the subdial and the number "18".
So can you tell me how something like that can happen? Happens this on purpose?
What do you think?
