google 'trusty time' and u will find the website.
most ppl on this board are not helpful when it comes to finding the actual websites where to buy the reps.
-
the only gen. AP ROO model that does not have lume is the Safari model.

Well, if you had one of the older "bad" ones--there are new ones that are much better (came out in August). Most people think the ones sold by Josh/Andrew (aka "v.1") are the most accurate. However, they don't have functioning Power Reserve. Other dealers are selling a different one ("v.2") which HAS functioning Power Reserve, but a less accurate dial. Both are around $200. Choose your poison.
If you already have one of these--then, yes, go to your local AD and cough up the dough.
thank you. I'll check out the josh/andrew ones.
finally a useful reply post to my question

If the fact that it "looked fake" bothers you, your best bet is to just get it over with and go to your local AD.
They're replicas man - they all "look fake"...
Now, how fake they look -well- that's another subject altogether...
my repl I bought a few years ago so there are better ones out there homie. Just want the latest most accurate rep.
and why dont you give me $10k and then Ill go to my local AD
-
The most accurate one can be found 10 centimetres above your original post then a little to the right. -SEARCH-
I think I can read homie. But the thread about '10cm above my original post then a little to the right" does not mention anything about the BP and which ones are currently the best.
And the IWC guide does not say shiet about BP reps either.
-
My current IWC BP replica broke today, plus I didn't really like it because it looked too fake. So I decided that I will just buy a better BP rep.
Can anyone suggest where I can buy most accurate looking best out of box IWC BP rep for the money?
Thank you

[censored] looks hot!
the EOD is one of the best AP ROO's of all time.
-
I suggest getting the AP ROO coversion kit by buying a strap from Oracle straps, and then getting a real aftermarket croc strap from StrapLuxe (and putting the oracle conversion kit on it)
-
Wow - that is a truly fugly watch. Looks like something out of a GZ fantasy parts bin.
???
That watch is just plain sicccccccck!
-
Not a fan of the red colored pushers.
-
the pvd rep looks fantastic!
-
There is a coated resin on the inside of the strap. The pins are very tight on the strap and are definately not loose. Keep in mind that the conversion links are made for the Oracle straps, so they are going to fit a little different. The HK strap is very thick and that is why you see a little bit of he link end. It still beats the $550 that AP Bands wants to charge for a kit and strap. Oracle conversion kit and carbon fiber strap costs only $95 which is a fantastic deal.
Of course!!! $95 is a bargain compared to the insane $550 ap bands price!!!!
Great strap and congrats

awesome! is that Big Pilot strap from StrapLuxe? It looks like it is looks exactly like mine

The hornback strap looks pretty killer! great choice! Question about the strap....is there some kind of metal/resin insert at the inside of the strap end where it attaches to the watch casing to give it an extra strength reinforcement of the strap? I am asking this because OEM straps seem to have some kind of metal piece inside the strap where it attaches to the watch casing. And what was pricing on the strap?
However, the links do not seem to fit correctly on the watch. From the pictures, it looks like the links are TOO loose with the strap and casing. There is a HUGE gap between the top of the strap and the bottom of the watch casing. Looks kind of cheap to me?????

I would also like to get that RG rubberclad.....but they have to improve the rubber bezel completely!!!
My rubber bezel is now torn at 5 positions and it rubs off easely just while wearing a sweater
Theo
you should turn your rubberclad into a Themes with SS bezel
peel that rubber off!
-
Try one of the service centers or your local AD....they are about 140 USD or 100 EURO.
Theo
P.S.: But the original buckle is 16mm!!!! And most of the straps of 3rd party suppliers are 18 or 20mm.
Dunno what you are talking about. The OEM size buckle for ROO straps is 18mm, not 16mm

AP bartorelli ... man it's sick!

@watchturbo:
I mean, when I take one of such endlinks with my fingers and try to move (kind of back and forth) it, it is not working on the strap. it is stiff like screwed. Only one endlink will move forward. Is that OK? Or should I ask oracle to send out another one?
I never bought one of his straps so I can't tell you if that is 'normal' for his straps.
My assumption is that both endlinks should be able to move???
-
both endlinks of a properly made aftermkt strap should be able to move around and rotate after being installed on the watch. 1st strap change is always a biattttch. good luck and post up some pics!

hoopty,
that is an awesome project you got going there. please keep us updated with pictures!

from which country will this "strapluxe" straps shipped?
I ask because of customs isssues for genuine alligator skin... but if they comes from EU... this would be fine
Why don't you ask them for a 'favor' when you order? That problem should be an easy fix.
-
how well does it keep time?
-
hornback straps are super cool. but i prefer that the number of horns on the strap be kept to a minimum. just my 2cents
-
yes, the iwc bp oem straps are all leather. disappointing though that the oem straps are hard and stiff. your bp rep does look pretty nice. now u need a comparable strap to pair with it now.
and i agree with Timeshare about the Strapluxe aftermarket straps being better than oem. highly recommended by me too. i havent torn up my strapluxe strap yet cuz i just got it, but when it does need replacing, i'll open it up to see if its all leather built as i think it is. (www.strapluxe.com)
So the big pilot is starting to grow on me....

The strap that comes with the BP rep is a piece of crap! It is a white plastic strap with some synthetic plastic material (faux leather) wrapped around it. Tough and Hard. And yes, it looks like a $100 strap from far away and in pictures, but in reality it is just worth replacing it with something that will last longer and feel more comfortable on the wrist.
I just ordered this strap today from strapluxe. I saw the picture posted on another site and drooooooled. Just snaked the pictures and hosted them.
I'll post up some of my own pictures of this strap once I get them in the mail next week.
