  1. seems i missed the mildew pic edit: and now it appears again - quirky
  2. yes, but look at the price - a steal for $320,000 from a guy with 135 transactions
  3. well, I forgot to mention oxygen as well but some things are a given and nice price on a Swiss navi the Asian price is ok I suppose - about $20 less than Ruby - does he take pics before shipping, warranty, etc. http://www.nicereplica.com/pro_detail.php?ProId=532
  4. If any of you watch the hit TV show "Heroes", you know Sylar is a watchmaker gone bad - really bad - If you don't know who I'm referring to, you can watch this youtube vid : or a longer version here He plays in the upcoming Star Trek as Spok as well... on to his "Sylar" watch His watch, that they've showed him working on in previous episodes, I've learned today, is a modified Hamilton KHAKI FIELD MECHANICAL (or should I say replica - and not a very good one) and a pic of the Hamilton : the printing is poorly done and the 23 touches the 11 - the date wheel also looks too deep, date window frame too thick, etc. Today's episode shows a character named Peter Petrelli fixing his watch with his "powers" by opening it up and using his mind to take a gear out and fix it in mid air - a bit of hollywood [censored] no doubt thought it was interesting - that is all
  5. I've sent one back to Ruby (been about 3 weeks - no word yet - it was airmail from Canada) - my avatar says it all was a cheapy $129 21J SOH - only ordered it to try it out - now I need a good swiss version anyhow - love it I was about to send one back to Josh - was packed and ready to go sitting in my back seat... some little voice told me not to send it ($300 SMP PO) - opened it back up and put it on (felt like I got a new watch after it's been sitting there for weeks) - there was a problem with the rotor not spinning freely - it spins 1 or 2 rounds at best (rotor has mildew on it too) I rather get it fixed/serviced here even if it costs much more than shipping but I have no chance of losing my watch plus it's a good idea to have the movement serviced anyhow. no fault of Josh, he doesn't see what the factory ships me and he's an outstanding dealer. oddly enough, even though I hear a clicking noise and the rotor doesn't spin freely, it's been keeping great time ( -4 to -5 secs a day) I should open it up and have a crack at it myself, I need to put all my new watchmaker tools to good use - maybe it's just the rotor bearing here, you can see the mildew on the rotor and movement as well as dirt and pubic hairs lol - no wonder

  15. type "replica watch forums" in Google do you really think the gen manufacturers need any kind of "tipping"? I'd be more concerned with them taking your watch and smashing it in front of your face - then getting into a fist fight with the shop owner that ends up putting you in jail
  16. WB Graman! this is our home away from our home away from home - we should be back to our home away from home shortly - in the meantime, feel at home
  17. had a heart to heart with God today... Me: god? God: GOD rules. Me: I don't usually follow *all* of them God: Would you ever do it? Me: well yea, just not all of them God: Interesting. But some of them are? Wow! Me: uh... so yea, anyways - I need some help God: Ugh. Woe! Tell me about your problems. That's cool. Me: are you like a surfer god? God: No I am far superior. Me: k, so i wanted to know who makes the best sub? God: Awesome. Mary Shelley. :-). Me: hmmm, is she a new dealer? God: Aw. I don't think she wants me to tell you. Me: Does she take paypal or visa? God: I may know the answer but I don't think I should tell. Me: ah, then she's a scammer God: So you understand. Good. a scammer is she? Me: yep - she needs to be on fakemasters scammer list God: Yikes! Oh I get it. a scammer needs to be on fakemasters scammer list. Me: now you got it God: Why now? I understand. Me: It's obvious you can't help me God: Not obvious to me. Me: no, your programming doesn't go that far God: Are you serious? I will mention that to my botmaster.

  22. Navi with Swiss 7750? really? should cost between $600-900 - would be nice to have one too if your crazy for navi's like me - i've been wearing my gen quite a bit recently since I put a leather deployment on it - the old ss was crappy - my quartz navi's don't get any wrist time anymore - I can't bring myself to even put it on the 28,800 Asian 7750 is more than fine though - I use to fear them but after reading many posts regarding watchmakers giving them props.. I'm sold
  23. I'll do my best John I guess you've been getting more work done recently then?
