  1. Actually, I never called you a racist. I merely said that your comments 'bordered on racism', which is not quite the same thing. Your definition is not strictly correct, however, let's not get bogged down by semantics - as you say, English is not your first language (excellent though your English is), so, as you say, let's just put it down to a misunderstanding and forget it. Yep. Peace - it's good to have you back Interesting that you're not on repgeek - in that case, someone on there has purloined your Avatar, which is why I assumed it was you www. repgeek.com btw - one of the other boards. It's not somewhere i particularly enjoy hanging out, but it's a useful resource nonetheless. Worth a look.
  2. Hmm - I guess you didn't quite get what I was saying. I know English isn't your first language, so maybe you don't know quite how your comments on _that_ subject come across, but I'm not the only one to think so. I don't care what your preferences are, I do, however find your derogatory remarks in that area offensive in the extreme. And yes, I know what the word means. That IS how you sometimes come across, sad to say. Oh, by the way, you needn't censor yourself. Just expect a response in kind. Anyhow, lets drop it - good to see you back, MGI!
  3. Talking of MIA, I just spotted MGI/Luthier over on repgeek masquerading under the pseudonym of Xyphis... Nobody mention Groucho, okay....?
  4. Looks fabulous. Something like that would look great on my Fiddy
  5. ...or handling ... or comfort ... or performance ... or practicality...
  6. Yup - I miss Jameo and iabounty in particular.
  7. I'll confess that I'm losing the faith here.... Beginning to wonder whether RWG1 will ever re-appear.
  8. I'll admit I was considering buying a cheapie as a stop-gap on the basis that I won't lose much in depreciation if I decide to go AMG later. Sound familiar? A well-regarded Merc specialist I know has a near-mint E320 Avantgarde for not a lot of dough. Might go see it at the weekend....
  9. Glad I'm not the only cheapskate..... She's having lunch with me tomorrow. I'll ask her about her schedule....
  10. Amen. Watch this space - I've decided to give it a couple of days and see what happens when I get my own insurance involved. I'll be going car hunting at the weekend (can't afford the AMG E55 without the insurance, though, dammit....).
  11. Okay, so who said TTKs communications are poor? Just had an email from him acknowledging my payment and including a copy of his database record for my transaction. Seriously, seriously impressed.
  12. Gawd - reminds me of the first courtesy car I was loaned after the 'incident'. It was far from being a courtesy - more of a 'sullen insolence' car. Looked like something a smurf would drive. Felt like driving a shopping trolley with one missing wheel.
  13. Welcome aboard! Pull up a chair and join the rest of the watchaholics
  14. Well f.uck. Just had an email from the company's insurers - they are refusing to pay the claim on my car (the one that was hit by the tree). Sods. This means I have to start again with my own insurance company - and I can see legal action against the company's insurers happening down the line, as there IS liability there (and there are other vehicles involved - including an agricultural vehicle owned by the company). Gawd knows how long this is going to drag on - I'm seriously considering just buying a replacement now and arguing about it later. I'll make up my mind when I've calmed down a bit. In the meantime, I think a beer or five is called for, so I'm heading off to the pub fairly shortly
  15. Depends on which shipping option you went for. If it was the cheap 'airmaill' then it's not trackable once it leaves China. If you went for EMS, then your tracking number should work here: http://www.parcelforce.com/portal/pw/track...ageId=trt_track Personally, I always go for the cheap shipping - never had a problem and usually gets here in less than two weeks following date of despatch (although once it was just under three, but that was during the Olympics when a lot of stuff got delayed..).
  16. Yup - never easy. Hope they catch up with him before too long... LOL - very true.
  17. Have the cops had any luck yet with tracking down the schmuck who did it?
  18. Happy birthday Pug! Hey, look what somebody got him!
  19. Then double that figure and buy watchboxes to suit. Trust me, you're going to exceed the first figure you thought of
