  1. hey man you just signed up.

and you want all the answers dished out.

i usually recomend a good 2 weeks of reading alot per day before buying your first rep.

sit back, pull up a chair and read awhile

Pho is right. As someone new to the world of reps, I wanted direct answer from the veterans too.

But the more I read, the more I realised that the answers that the helpful bros here give may be good and insightful but not one that is "customised and tailored" to what you may need.

So it will be really good for you to plough through the invaluable wisdom and knowledge that have been left behind by our forefathers! :p

  2. Thanks ARR, Freddy, Vric and Chubb for your help and info.

Mine is a Breitling Montbrilliant from EuroTimez.

I guess it's down to fear of damaging the strap that is holding me back from even thinking it is possible to do it myself.

As this is going to be my 1st rep, I just wanna to play safe but at the same time I know I need to learn how to do it myself eventually.

Thanks again, will keep you guys update on my progress soon! :)

  3. Most dealers would add links for you if you have a large wrist (most for a cost), but they may not put them in the band for you... How do you know how many links to have removed all bracelets sit and wear differant. Just because you need 1 link removed for one watch does not mean 1 removed from another would be correct for your wrist.

This may sound really stupid but I gave him my wrist size. Ha ha ha!

Guess I might need to take out those old watch and start experimenting with adding and removing of the links. :)

  4. Hi,

Seemed to me that everyone here has the ability to add/reduce links to/from the stainless watch strap to accomodate the wrist. At least nobody talks about it when buying reps.

Me, I even have to specifically instruct my dealer to do it for me for my 1st rep which has yet to arrive.

Is there something wrong with me or is this something (adjustment of strap) that can be done easily?

    Cheers!

    Cara J

  5. The passion! The people! The reality of this forum! These are what attracted me to this forum and RWI.

IMO these 2 forums are alive with real, passionate people discussing their love for watch, debating and fighting for their love for watch.

When I stumbled upon RWG & RWI, I was just looking for a cheap alternative to expensive, high end watch. But the more I read on I got sucked in by the energy, the "realness", the pure emotional contents that filled this place.

I may sound exaggerating but here I see years of toils and efforts by members new & old to build a place they can call their own. A gathering where like-minded peolpe can, for a while, put down their daily burden and talk about their passion.

Sure I see posts & threads I disagree but that's life.

I hope to continue to enjoy this place and be accepted as part of the family.

    Cheers! :)
