I buy any sort of things from major online sites adn try to find new things... always have books on the run from amazon which I never read, clothing online that I get very hyped up when I buy it but when received does nt really makes me go crazy..., I m even buying music cd s still on the avent of online music!!!

It is indeed an amazing watch!!! My motehr is quite fan of Cartier and she has this model on gen... I`ve got a rep of it, since we live in different countries, and it definitely looks very similar. My only issue is with the feel of the rubber cover on the strap. The gen feels much more comfy and soft than the rep I have, which feels more plastic... maybe is just my rep. I am planning on getting another rep, just to make com`parison of quality since this rep I have was bought from a site not advertised in our forum... so maybe soon enough will be posting a rep vs rep...

By the way, went to the AD the otehr day and had a look at the chrono version! I almost left the store wearing one! Live looks a gizzillion times bettern than in pics! It s an amazing watch as well... wondering if they will make a good rep of it also!!!

This is a thread about Vertu, specifically rep versions - Maciek started this thread as he was looking into something 'above and beyond' the Nokia 8800 series, more luxury. This offering from LMVH is aimed squarely at that sector, and given what this forum is all about, I thought it relevant to post as it may stimulate discussion further, open the context up. That's after all what this place is all about. Not just a marketplace for people to post pages of "ordered mine but got no tracking yet" posts. That ok with you? Good good, carry on.....

I was just asking because I did not know if you were referring to a different brand than Vertu... and I thought Vertu was from the same Nokia not from LVMH..

But, doesn`t this one look like has some flaws?? I.e. the screws towards the center of the watch on the chrono dials.. aren`t they missing or is it just the bad quality of the pic??

Guys I had a look at vertuclones website that was mentioned above and have to say the phone looks pretty similar BUT it is not the same!

They say their phone has memory for up to 300 numbers - in mine I already have over 400 and it shows 4XX/1000 so it definately has memory for 1000 contacts.

What is more please have a look at the back of the phone - somhow I could not steal their pic but you can see it there.

For comparison here is a pic of my phone:

You can see that sim-card and memory card slots are in different positions. Also the model name, number etc plate seems to be engraved nicer in mine. Battery also is different, in their pics it is black while my phone came with two gray batteries - I believe gen comes with such grey ones.

I also think leather might look better in mine but I guss this might vary.

Does anyone know about the bracelet? In the Graham website they advertise a folding buckle, but on the rep of the Black Knight i see there is a normal strap closure... is the gen like that???

First I really wanted a Swordfish, but I held off because I'm not sure I'd have the balls to go out wearing one - due respect to Lani though, you must have answered many a question from strangers by now - and then when I saw pics of this on the dealer sites I thought, no, that won't look good in the flesh - bad PVD finish, poor dial/markers etc. - but I reckon this is the one to have. The stealth finish combined with the Victorian engineering look is just very cool - very "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen"
