Wondering if you'll have time to make all of these dials and possibly more SD?
  3. Curious question, I've also wondered if types of UV lighting could alter the color of some lume (essentially making them turn yellow as if they have been aged). I remember back in the days when I used to be in the lab ... we would sterilize certain objects with UV lighting and typically items that have been exposed to UV lighting would start to turn brittle and turn yellow. Now I'm wondering if this technique might be used to artificially age lume?
  4. look at that amazing gloss love it!
  5. steph_dexter, I gotta say, this is a great attempt! I wouldn't keep it glossy though, the OEM finish is almost a matte or sand/bead blasted texture. The clip is also finished in the same texture. Here are some pics I pulled from the web for you. Front Back Detail of engraving

  7. That tritium blows my mind I much preferred your longer write-ups though, always a joy to read through.
  8. Keep up the effort! I bet with bits and pieces you'll be able to put it all together.
  9. Oh no Still waiting for the 3714-31!!! You can make one more?
  10. These are the best caseback tools ever! I've been using mine for quite some time now and it's in my palm the moment I need to remove a caseback. Glad to see you're still making them for the community!

I believe there is one on the sales boards that is Vac modded. Vac will send crystals to Chief for AR coating. The wait is sometimes unbearably long, but more or less worth the wait. Another option is to pick up a Taka crystal (which he has in stock and ships quickly). You can send it out to a watchsmith to swap crystals and that may be easier for some people. Watchsmiths should have no issues installing the ETA day/date wheels for you too should you go that route.
  13. That riveted bracelet looks so good on that watch. Great pickup!
  14. I'm in the LA area too, would love to know a rep-friendly watch repair specialists to go to as well. Biggest peeve I have is long waits for our more established modders. Most of the time shipping is a big contributor to the delay too, plus the risk of it getting lost/damaged in transit. Most I've dealt with in the 909/626 area haven't been very helpful, they only do standard things like polish/buff, replace batteries on quartz watches, resize bracelets, and from time to time they'll adjust/time movements but I wouldn't trust them with some of the more highly modded watches. Any suggestions?
  15. Love the ingy, don't see too many of those around
  16. Just curious, what kind of watch and what movement are we talking about?
  17. Not too shabby... the lug screws also need to be changed to the long single screw system. Sounds like a fun project! Keep it up
  18. That's pretty awkward... This new lume is really weird.
  19. It's not hard, all it requires is a dremel or a drill. It would take you 5 minutes tops if you have all a pin remover and a drill.
