  1. Thanks P.

I would love to, i am good with stuff like that. the problem is i would spend a fortune on tools and watches and it would probably get out of hand (maybe its suppose to).

Another problem is time i have an 18 month old son and he takes most of my time, more than my business. But i do admire your skill and finished products.

Just one last thing p? How good or bad is the watch you started with? (I think it was from Silix wasn't it?) I love the look of the Plexiglas crystal, it just adds so much character over sapphire.

    Thanks again P.

    kind regards. Marc.

  2. might just wait and see then. i did read polexpete's article. gorgeous watch but i have never modded a watch, so not for me. What i don't understand is why hasn't anyone made a great rep yet? i have a noob LV from Chris and it's pretty damn nice and yet there is a big following for the GMT. Imagine all the people who haven't the skill to mod a watch, who would buy one! Same goes for vintage Omega's i supose like the flightmaster.

    Thanks again guys. Marc. :)

  3. I am by no means an expert, so is this GMT a good rep? It looks pretty good to me but i expect to have people shouting ' are you kidding' I would love one of these and have read all the reviews on various versions, but i have to say it can get a little confusing.

If this is not good, which is the best version? Taking into consideration that i do not have the expertise to mod it. I have read the noob version is one of the best but needs modding, so no good for me.

    Thanks in advance. Marc

  4. I've been thinking about this watch for some time now, but apart from the sub dial spacing, which we can't do anything about, it has the speedmaster bracelet. Why then is it not possible for this watch to be sold, with the seamaster pro ETA bracelet? (see pics) The speedy bracelet doesn't even look that good, the links look too oval.

    kind regards. Marc.

  5. Do you know what By-tor? Thats the first place i looked and didn't see it, haha. Never mind, we have a young baby and they do funny things to your brain!

I have to say though, i do think this is a beautiful watch, but i am i little bias, as i have a gen Seamaster pro black and think it is one of the nicest watches ever made. Would be nice with a seamaster bracelet or seamaster clasp at least.

But apart from your review not many people seem to have one.

    Thanks for your reply By-tor.

    Marc.

  6. @ triplehd do you have any pics of your watch. i would very much appriciate it.

    kind regards. Marc.

@ lanikai that is a beautiful watch, no regrets then? as nice as you expected?

To be honest i just recieved my first rep from Chris at Eurotimez. A noobmariner LV, and i love it. But you know how it is, its an addiction! so now i am humming and harring over the Breitling SOH or a Rolex SSD V2. Not sure what you all think?

Thanks for your comments and pics.

    kind regards. Marc.

  7. Has anyone bought one yet? I have searched and searched but i cannot find anyone who has the new updated one on a rubber strap. If anyone has one, let me know your thoughts, as i would love one but has not seen one on here. (unless it's so good that people are keeping quite) Haha.

    kind regards. Marc.

  8. Thanks for all the replies.

When i wrote this last night i was very tired, as i have a bad cold. I would just like to add a couple of points on the quality of the watch.

Clasp. Very good a little sharp but easy to sort with a Garryflex rubber. very good quality doesn't come open etc. Very nice!

Bracelet. Very good also. From what i remember of the original, i would imagine it would be difficult to tell the difference (after a little polishing to the edges as they are also a little sharp).

watch case. Now remember I'm not striping this watch down to its component parts, so I'm just looking at the general finish. and it is also very good. The polishing on the sides of the is very nice indeed.

Crystal. Is lined up with the date (as promised in Chris' quality control).

Crown guards. now this is probably the most talked about subject. But i think they are good and have no complaints.

Lume is good but dies after an hour or so. But at night when I'm asleep i don't need to know the time. So not bothered.

movement is the Asian 21j. I think it sounds lovely and sweeps well. some people say the rotor is noisy but i don't really agree. You have to have it up to your ear to hear it. And you look pretty stupid shaking the watch, whilst its stuck to your ear. I think the problem with this movement is, it needs servicing from the start. Chris does this, so problem solved!

Now i know most of you already know most of this, but i thought it might answer questions from people who don't own one. One last thing, just to clarify my 'super rep' status i gave to this watch. You must remember that this watch cost me

  9. Well after lots of reading and research i finally decided to to buy a rep. I have always thought that reps were rubbish. made badly and inaccurately with quartz movements, you know what i mean, theres nothing worse than a Rolex with a tick (if you what i mean).

But as I did my research on here i became more and more surprised at the look and supposed quality of some of the watches.

Anyway I'll start at the beginning. About 11 years ago my dad gave me his Omega deville, solid gold and very beautiful, quite a big watch really. That was the start of a bit of a watch obsesion. And about a year later I bought a moonwatch well that was and is my favourite watch of all time i think. The only problem was it didn't have a date and as you all know has to be wound by hand. It also has an acrylic crystal that is much easier to scratch. I cringed everytime i bashed it.

So i bought a seamaster, the black one with the solid hands. . (i used to know all the numbers of by heart but then i got a girlfriend). I think i love it as much as the moonwatch now. That watch is so nice! The problem was the same though, when the watch got bashed it made me cringe.

so what now? well i thought i should buy a cheap watch for holidays etc.

  10. Hi pizzaman what does the bracelet feel like? I love this watch but read a review, you've probably read it. The guy pressure tested it, went driving, very comprehensive review. Anyhow they said the braclet felt cheap and it kind of put me off. but looking at the pics of this watch it looks fab!

    kind regards. Marc.

  11. Is there a good rep of this GMT or similar pepsi coloured watches? As i would love one but i am so confused with all the reviews, some good some bad. Saying that the movement can't handle the extra hand and keeps breaking.

I too confused to even attempt to buy one.

Also can you get the jubilee bracelet? I have seen one (rep of course) it looks good but has a concealed clasp (just a rolex sign) . Not as the pic above shows.

    Such a beautiful watch!

Great bit of info Tribal. Good find!

    kind regards. Marc.
