Depending on who you deal with it can go one of two ways, either they will take it seriously and hopefully this guy has done it to others in which case you should get some sort of response or they will just say its a civil matter and you will be on your own to deal with it. Print a copy of the original thread and all correspondance and take it with you when you go to the police, I hope for your sake that it says somewhere on there that the watch is genuine and not just "Its my grandfathers AP"

Have to say, I really like that one and the red really makes it stand apart. If I had the EOD I probably wouldn't go for one though as I like that one better.

My first gen Rolex I picked was the GMT Master II soon after it was realeased, I got lucky at my AD and simply fell in love with the watch so had to get it. Having the gen, the replica never really held any interest for me and while I checked up on the updates every so often I wasn't really keeping track of it. I knew some of the basic flaws such as the wrong hand-stack, something with the rehaut and the AR, cyclops mag etc, in-case I ever stumbled across one. So it came as a pleasent surprise to me when I bumped into a friend of mine wearing the same watch a couple days ago, I was trying to determine by looking at it on his wrist if it was a gen or a rep - I had introduced him to reps so I knew there was a possibility but he also has quite a few gen's. Finally after trying to tell for about 10-15 mins I had to ask him, he smirkingly took it off his wrist and handed it to me to inspect - a dead give away in my book I have to say this rep is as good out of the box as it gets. He recently got his from PT and I have to say I struggled to find flaws holding mine in one and his in the other. I guess I will have to do some proper research on this one to figure out what that tiny-only-spotted-by-us-rep-nutters-flaws are but nothing jumped up at me, slight weight difference - maybe, possibly the lume, maybe the cyclops mag - but I would have to be really nitpicking to even suggest these, the bracelet could do with improving as it just doesn't feel right but that's comparing side by side and also the colour on the bezel is very slightly gray and not as white as the one on the rep. On the wrist, I would say simply impossible to tell. Overall, very impressed with this piece ! never realised they had got it so right. If anyone has picked up the YG one I would really appreciate some feedback on the colour, as I am thinking it might be worth having as a daily beater having been amazed by the SS one. Since no thread is complete without some eye candy... heres some shots of my gen, sadly the rep is across the world now so I could not get comparison pics and the ones I got via my phone are not even worth posting.

I really hope for your sake you researched the seller properly and he was backed by some serious feedback on whatever site you got it from - I personally would have never risked it. Photos are no guarantee. I would advise a trip to the AP AD (no one else) as soon as it arrives. Good luck and show us some photos (non .bmp format pls ) !

Usually get friends to pick things up for me as I haven't been for a while but looking forward to it as might be able to get a bargain hopefully judging by the sound of things

I was wondering if anyone on here who has been / lives in Dubai has some recommended Dealers? Seems like the fake trade is pretty thriving there - mostly the lower end stuff on the street corners, which I'm hoping means the higher quality stuff should be around too for those in the know. Looking to replace my Hublots as they are pretty battered and maybe pick up a few luggage peices etc.. Not really looking for gen stuff tips as I can find that myself. Have pm'd a few members but figured a general post might get a better response Cheers

Ding Ding we have a winner Southcoast68 is indeed correct as they are all gens - my proud 3 and to think about 6 months ago I wasn't convinced I would buy gen Rolex's as I felt they had the "is it fake" stigma attached to them

So just wondering if people on here are PC or MAC users ? The reason behind this post? Recently I have been drawn by the good looking Powerbooks that I am seeing more and more everywhere. I have been a PC ever since Windows 95 and didnt ever consider a Mac but recently with a job change I find I am only ever using the computer to use the browser, thats it - a major change as I used to be on the computer about 15 hours a day switching only entered my mind as there is no denying they are good looking machines, especially the newest release laser cut from one peice of aluminum - I am currently on a pretty new Vaio however it just feels kinda plasticy in comparison So anyone else on here switched from the PC to MAC ? What are your opinions overall, happy with the decision ?

Sure I get what you are saying but then why not go for say a $50 casio which will be better made, have better functions and probably last you all your life then say a $500 Panerai rep... lets face it it comes down to Style and marketing "hype" around these brands which in the end is the same as with these phones Plus if you are going for a $200 rep of a $8000 phone you are saving money too
