  1. I understand that Selix Prime is the best place to pick up replica Omegas... but I'm curious which you feel is the most accurate representation of it's official counterpart

I'd consider this planet ocean if it truly is 100% accurate : http://www.perfectwatchez.co/omega-swiss-seamaster-planet-ocean-007-som34.html

But it's pretty expensive so, should it not be much more accurate than something like this, I'll go with the latter (normal black faced seamaster)

I also like this watch but can't find any information on the authentic one so it's tough to compare : http://www.perfectwatchez.co/ferrari-replica-watch-fa67.html

  2. Getting a gen crystal is almost impossible, since this model is a Limited Edition

    Ur picks:

#1, 2 and 3 are the exact same watches

But i would stick to #1 or 2 since they're from trusted dealers

U might be interested in this one from Josh..

    :evil2:

So that one is missing the dimpled bezel and the thing at the top (that circular dealio above 12) is bigger than the authentic... Any way to interchange those with the real ones?

  3. Font is definitely much better, but as you said, what the heck were they thinking with that engraving??

Would it be possible to get a genuine crystal with the engraving? OR would that be uber expensive and/or not fit in this watch?

At this point, I guess i"m down to these:

Which do you think is best?

  4. If you are referring to the link, yes I think it should be black and it certainly seems to be black.

I think all Planet Oceans should be black, I do not know about any that is not black.

If you are referring to any other watch, please explain.

Maybe my color blindness is getting the best of me but, the watch in that link appears to have a dark blue face?

  5. Forever, I have wanted an omega seamaster or planet ocean in the 007 styling but just can't spend the money on the real deal right now.. till then, I would like a replica to hold me over. Can anyone suggest a good replica similar to that released for quantum of solace (or otherwise). Last time I looked (year or so ago) there were not any good replicas..

    Anyone help me out?

  6. So, I am in LOVE with the new 007 seamaster limited edition for quantum of solace and came across helloreplica.com's version.. it looks SOOO accurate. Aside from the feet, I can't even spot that many differences... Is anyone else rather impressed?

Here's the link for the watch: http://www.helloreplica.com/omega-seamaste...tch--20042.html

Even if i did buy the original, I would almost be tempted to buy this as a beater to wear most of the time.

  7. I admit, that wasn't the best example, but I'm sure there'll be one out there... Thinking about it, what you need as the base watch, is a fantasy 2220.80, but with black rather than blue, so I'd suggest looking for that as your base. To be honest, the hand swap, while slightly fiddly,is not actually difficult to do. Taking the movement out of the case is incredibly simple. All you need to do is remove the caseback, pull the crown right out to the 'time set' position, then use a cocktail stick or small screwdriver to depress the crown release stud which is just to the side of where the crown enters the movement, then it is just a case of dropping out the movement and dial and swapping the second hand over. It probably takes longer to describe the procedure than it does to actually perform it

Interesting, is there anywhere I could get a solid base with which to start? Something that is more or less identical with the exception of the seconds hand. I can certainly go through the hassle of the second hand if i can find something otherwise close enough :)
