  1. Holy cow...didn't realize how many 029's there are out there. @ Dluddy: where did you get yours from? DSN is the only dealer I know that carries the 029a dial. Anyways...here's mine again.
  2. The crown guard took me forever to get the curved top using a standard non-destro one. I had to dremel the top to get it the right shape. Dremel out the hole on the underside so the pin could fit. Rebrushed the whole thing and did the pin flattening and hot glue fix. whew...that took a couple hours. Here are the results. And the 112 on the last pic that was for sale and no one wanted. LOL
  3. Absolutely stunning! All you need is to flatten that CG pin and you're done!
  4. I asked DSN before about buying a bezel on it's own and he said it's actually part of the case and are not seperable. Not sure if that's the case but that's the response i got.
  5. Thank you all for the comments! It was difficult finding a 029 with the correct bezel with stretched numbers like the gen and this also seems to have one of the best dials I've seen. The last challenge is finding the perfect strap for the 029.
  6. Yup...it's a Lello...but the cyclopse makes a huge difference as well. pic 1: rep black calf (gen black calf and buckle are enroute!) pic 2: George Lan tan vachetta pic 3: Theyo blue steel
  7. Nice....I need to get the "Pamily" together for it's family photos. lol I really like the tabacco destro!
  8. Well...the final piece was finally installed. I managed to get a sapphire crystal with an embedded cyclopse with a really nice mag. I feel that this is as close to gen as this watch can go without swapping gen parts into it. If anyone has a really good picture of the gen 029b (L SWISS MADE L) I'd really appreciate it if you could post it up. From the crappy gen pics I have i'd say it seems pretty spot on. Here are some pics....enjoy! I went Artsy fartsy on these pics.... My standard kitchen counter top shot... And here it is outside in natural lighting..
  9. Wow....I want one. Where can I get this?
  10. Thank you for answering my question. Some people think they are the same....but I will go by your experience as a well known modder.
  11. Not sure if anyone knows the answer to this one for sure....Can a date wheel be swapped from a PAM 104 with date at 3 o'clock to a PAM 196/250 with date between 4/5 o'clock? Has anyone attempted to do this? Thanks in advance for any answers!
  12. No...not all PAM cases are the same. Yours probably has the short lugs syndrome....if you look through the lug holes when you line the watch up to the bracelet you probably only see half of the holes on the bracelet. It will not fit. However I have a EL 029 and I can mount a bracelet just fine.
  13. Thanks for the info....I don't think I'm really a Breit guy so you may see this in the FS section soon!
  14. Thanks!! This one was from EL. But since then a Lello DW was installed so it looks even better! 029b pics updated in first post.
  15. Thanks for the replies. so what would this be valued at? Does this Titanium with with white dial exist?
  16. Ok...so I'm a PAM guy trying to see what else is out there. Just got a Breitling Ti Chrono Avenger and I have no idea how accurate this rep is...or if it even exists. I have seen black faced ones but I haven't seen any white ones around. First thing I have to say is that it's incredibly light...even when comparing it to a Ti PAM. At first I wasn't sure about it but now it's beginning to grow on me. Can anyone give me the details on this one? All I know is that chrono's function, it keeps excellent time, and the seconds sweep is super smooth...I assume it's an A7750 movement? Which dealers carry these...I have no idea as it was part of a trade. Here are some pics...
  17. Here's one....my 195 on a GSD vintage.
  18. I tried a PVDed Palp crown which looked really good....but the finish was off. Unfortunately the only PVD crown that will match DSN's would be DSN's.
  19. Holy crap...some VERY NICE combinations out there.
  20. Absolutely stunning! Great pictures, great watch! Congrats!
  21. DSN has a few different versions....It will fit...as long as you specify it's for a 6497 movement. It's also best if you have a picture of the exact crown you want to email him.
  22. Out of the box...DSN's are really good. Great looking anthracite dial which is already superlumed, closest to gen hands with smaller GMT arrow tip, nice ARed crystal with a 7mm cyclops, thicker than regular cartel date font....etc The only things I'd probably change would be the caseback which DSN's is more like it was etched than engraved. I would possibly get a Lello datewheel for it if I was really picky. Other than that....DSN's 089 is great out of the box.
  23. I have under a 6.5" wrist and now I can't wear anything smaller than a 44mm.
  24. That is one fantastic looking 111h! That strap is stunning as well!
  25. Fantastic watch...I hope to have one like it one day.
