  1. thanks guys. I was just nervous, worried.... not to talk trash about Josh or anything... i am just crossing my fingers hoping to hear from Josh...
  2. I have bought a watch from Josh, but ended up returning it for a refund. Mailed it back vis USPS. I know that it may take a while to get there. But how honesty are the dealers, USPS didn't offer any tracking number, for International Parcel = no tracking number available. It's been 3weeks, Josh says he hasn't gotten it yet. I really don't wanna jump to conclusions or accuse anyone but how trustyworthy are the dealers like Josh, in cases like this.... i am bit worried, what if he's not being honest??
  3. i did get another QC pics from Andrew. This one does have proper spacing between logo and 12. but.... amplitude at 275°, Rate 009+ s/d & beat error 0.0ms are these specs acceptable??
  4. thanks Pakz, so there is really no telling whether the watch is Gen or Rep by it i guess... still not sure why my GEN Speedmaster has 2 different logos, no happy feet on the dial, and happy feet on clasp and back casing..
  5. Never really noticed it til my recent Rep. PO purchase. Didn't know what happy feet was, still not 100% sure. Now I've read/searched forum and people are calling Omega logo with edges pointing up a HAPPY FEET. On my GEN. Speedmaster Day/Date, on a dial there is no happy feet but on a bracelet, back, and even on booklet there is a happy feet. Kinda confused, I bought my GEN Speedmaster from a local authorized Omega dealer. Can someone clear this up for me? What is Original Authentic Omega logo, is it with happy feet or without? I was maybe thinking original logo has happyfeet but not on a dial?? thanks in advance
  6. so this one has no happy feet right?? i've never really seen one with happyfeet...
  7. thank you thank you, i will let andrew know it is a GO!!
  8. i just ordered dg movement from andrew. like pakz said if it craps out on me i will just get another dg and get it replaced by watchmaker i guess.. can't wait til it arrives. i will post pics when i get qc pics from andrew.
  9. so what would you personally recommend? i am not planning on modding/franken the watch. eta or dg??
  10. thanks, I really am not planning on modding it. All I've done was maybe change the battery on my old G-Shocks. So when it comes down to swapping/modding... it probably will not happen. any noticeable difference in hands between eta/asian clone vs. asian dg?
  11. so hands that is on rep are different in swiss/asian clone and asian dg?
  12. hmmmm.... how reliable is asian dg movement??? how much would the dealers charge to repair/replace the movement if it goes dead... dang, never knew it was this hard to choose the movement...
  13. hmmmm... now i'm having hard time deciding... on the movement... now sure what to get....
  14. what is the difference between asia 4813 automatic 288000bph(170 cheaper which is $128) vs asia eta 2824-2 25j 288000bps(50 cheaper which is $248) are there noticeable difference between those two and swiss movement??
  15. thanks for the info. I did see Andrew having asian movement for $50 less which is around $248. is this good price?
  16. I've decided to get me one of these, but not too sure where/who/what to get... What do I look for? I am looking at this one http://www.yourtrustytime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35_114&products_id=7063&zenid=e58019d1a681834f52ac5644e3c158ae is this one pretty good? thanks
  17. Thanks Guys, the watch had few other flaws so unfortunately it is going back to Joshua, for a refund. Watch was beautiful. But had minor defect other than what I described above. And why is it not safe to change date between 9pm-3am???? it is on reps only or gen also? Now Im not too sure if I am getting same watch or shop for different kind.... Only thing that bothered me was the blue screws... hehe thanks guys
  18. Thank you Guys, Just received the watch last night. I got different unit due to bezel misalignment. Love the watch but having problem(s).... not sure if this is how these are made but here i go.... 1. luminescence... only getting it from hour/minute needles, not from the hour(s) 2. date dial starts to move around 11pm and by 11:55pm it is the next day and how do i polish the metal links? one of the endlik has bad scratches... here are some pics... sorry about the quality of the pics these were taken with my phone. let me know what you guys think. thanks
  19. thanks for your quick responses guys.... my concerns were 1. tachy bezel misaligned(at 12) 2. metal links seems discolored abit(???) 3. screws inside back casing(are they suppose to be blue)
  20. I am about to order this watch from Joshua, and wanted to see what you experts think. Let me know if this is a GO. Thanks Guys
  21. thank you Toadtorrent for your kind and informative reply. Well I have Swiss ETA Movement, but i can't seem to handwind the watch. Is there a way? and what does that other crown do? how effective is cape cod cloth?
  22. I just bought a REP Omega Seamaster James Bond Blue, watch arrived yesterday and I find that there are small scuff marks on 2 links. Contacted seller and he told me to take it to a local watchery and get it buffed which he will pay for. How much does it cost to get a watch buffed making it look new again? Because I have several watches I need to buff. If anyone is local here in Chicago that you can refer me to. And other question is, what does helium valve do on these watches? and how do you wind this watch to keep it running instead of shaking it. Because I have GEN Omega Speedmaster and you can shake it, or turn the crown counterclockwise to manually wind it. Not really sure how to work this one. Last question with this watch, OMEGA print on the dial, are these suppose to look like print-on(silkscreened look)? these are how GEN Bond watches are made? well, other than that I like it so far. Thanks, Tae
