  1. Seems like most of the 288 reps have a stem that's a bit too long, causing the crown not to screw in all the way. How hard would it be to shorten it? Is it a simple DIY project, or would we be better off taking it to a watchsmith? It would be way beyond awesome if someone could post a tutorial.

  2. http://repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=95461

The clown who posted the original thread begging for ingy datewheel schematics made low-quality inkjet prints on copier paper and is trying to sell them for $25 each on repgeek. Whoever sent him the file, can you just post it here so everyone can print it themselves instead of having to pay that joker $25 for a 2"x2" piece of paper? I'll gladly clean it up and re-size it if needed. Looks like he used the low-resolution file I've attached below, judging from the pictures he posted, but I'm sure there's something better out there.

  3. Do not do a charge back as the newb sugested. Work with the vendor - or even expose him here. Charge back is the last resort and the newb who sugested it should think twice before posting [censored] like that.

The dealer is refusing to replace a clearly faulty item, according to the OP, why should he not charge back? Jandrew & Co (I'm about 99% sure that's where it came from) is charging a huge premium for their alleged "customer service" - would you not charge back if you got a dud from Amazon and they refused to replace it or issue a refund? What is it with you people gladly bending over and taking it in the arsch, then whining about rep quality being too low and prices too high? Our good friends in GZ are laughing all the way to the bank.

PS: A little something for Jandrew worshippers: them vs the other guy. I rest my case...

  4. That's unacceptable for $360, I'd do a chargeback if I were you. Just file an "item not as described" complaint and you should have your money back in a couple days, then send that "watch" back using the cheapest courier service you can find. It seems to be a big no-no here, but I don't understand why everyone is trying so hard to protect those scamming clowns who are for the most part selling us junk that's $10 a bucket in Guangzhou. $5 "swiss eta" clone asian movements, "synthetic sapphire" mineral glass, "outstanding lume" that fades in a minute, "1:1 cases made from gen sample" 100x100px JPG on manufacturer's site, anyone? Wake the hell up, people!
