  1. That is a great point as far as font, font color, and surface texture as being convincing. It is somewhat convincing as far as texture goes. Obviously doesn't look like the real deal but it's not bad. Date wheel is close and the ETA is smooth. Weight wise is real close. 138 grams WM and 145 grams Gen. With the gen being platinum that is obviously where your weight comes in. There is no option to put in a movement holder to help add with the weight I don't think?

  2. very true but I am one picky dude when it comes to my watches haha. and didnt know the standards for an ETA movement if it should or could be closer to midnight. i also realized that your old YM looks like your dial had a lighter color than mine? my Y series has that lighter shade. I have yet to see a genuine Z series dial

  3. Jeremiah, welcome to the forum. Do yourself a favor and use the search button. You will find all sorts of information. Steel DJ's are more accurate due to the obvious, both reps and gens are made from stainless so it's harder to tell its a rep. If you want a rep of a white gold DJ, the weight difference will be very noticeable

  4. To all the daytona 16520 experts, especially Ubi, what are the differences in these cases or are there any other places I should be looking at? I'm thinking about a franken and curious on the differences. The case from J&W looks like it comes with a sapphire crystal and the ND doesn't look like it comes with a crystal? Anyway, here are the links, thanks guys for the help!

  5. I'm talking about solid mid links. Have you ever felt how heavy a Breitling STAINLESS band is? Its incredible how heavy those bracelets are and doesn't seem hard for the factories to start making a more solid substantial bracelet to get closer to weight. I know you aren't going to mimic the weight of a gold or platinum watch but it sure seems like it could be closer with the factories making a solid Rolex stainless band like Breitling does.

  6. A lot of people are wanting a white gold or platinum DayDate rep but are concerned about the weight of it. Wouldn't it make sense to make the bracelet solid through out to give it more of a gen like feel and weight? It does to me. Or do they already make the bracelets all solid or does anybody source such a thing? What are your thoughts?

  7. I have tried finding out when WM9 will start to sell parts like the dial but have come up with nothing yet and don't see any updates on BK's site but does anybody else know anything?

Also, again I am unlucky, but does anybody know of somewhere who can source a genuine YM dial? Or does anybody who has a newer WM9 Yachtmaster looking to sell theirs? If so, PM me :thumbsupsmileyanim:

    Thanks guys!

  8. i cant seem to find any info on whether ioffer.com is a legit site or not, does anybody have any info on them or can steer me in a direction where i can get an ENGRAVED panerai deployant buckle, polished and brushed? i've emailed strap and buckle dealers and all they seem to have are the basic deployant buckles. thanks for the help guys!
