Will be wearing this one into the work week... the long wait was worth it.

There probably is a stack of ledgers filled with PO's sitting in a warehouse somewhere that will answer many questions. It's interesting how much mystery still exists relating to Panerai's early history.

It's amazing the difference a proper date-wheel makes.

After 4 months of waiting and being #2 on a list for probably just one watch that wasn't predicted to show up until possibly late summer, I'll have it tomorrow! The first guy on the list passed and I had a 2 hour window to decide before they called #3 (over 50 people on the list and over 300 at the Manhattan Boutique). Very recently I had sold both of my PAM frankens and a VDB vintage for another purchase. Glad I hadn't spent it yet. I feel very fortunate that I had the funds and made the decision at the beginning of the year to get on the list. Here's someone else's pic of the object of my long time desire. FGD... I've searched and couldn't find any info on the strap you posted. Is he still around? I really like this one.

Tried on a new ammo strap I just received today. It's a slightly olive tinted brown (hard to capture the color with my P&S) with a nice tan calf lining.

Can't go wrong with an old worn OEM gator. You can pick them up for cheap since they are no longer considered mint.

Wanted to say thanks again to member robertb for the beautiful refinishing he did on my 1B franken. Bye-bye CapeCod Cloth... I'm buying myself a bench-mount polishing/buffing setup and learn how to do this!
