You can feel this same wobble with several gen models of Panerai. I've owned 2 gen 88's over a period of years, and both had a perceptible auto-wind wobble on the wrist.
Good question... the member that put it together hasn't told me which version. I did notice that the printing is the whitest I have ever seen on a rep dial
Thanks guys! It's odd for me to have a watch that doesn't immediately have me searching the net for upgrade parts... I guess all that's left to do now is wear it
I'll do a more formal post soon about the watch and the new Rolli dial/hands. But for the moment I just want to wear and enjoy this watch!
And I have to say I am enjoying the hell out of seeing it on my wrist
Some pics in different light...

Mark the KW version off your list. It has several visible issues. For starters, the cg lever pin is out of place (easily seen), case lug profile is visibly off and the case back too thin.
KW 1950 case shape 44mm models are better, but the standard Luminor case sets not so much, and why ALE doesn't compare them as often with Noob and HF.
Excellent points Pete! And I am reminded why this hobby and the projects have given me so much satisfaction.
Mine is on order... I took advantage of the "order 2 sets discount".
Avoid key-wound 240 movements. Actually double key-wound. Clock and alarm are wound separately. Not usable.
Send a PM to member repwatch who built the 203 8-day franken. He went through an expensive search before finding a workable 240 movement and can give you more great insight.
Yes this is true. Some ended up bringing the watch to their favorite AD and swapping out later as well. The watch was sold/offered to a list of known collectors and preferred customers... it never sat FS on AD shelves.
