Yes,
Bougt a few from them. Most of my Seikos are bought there. The boss of the shop is quite knowledgeable on Seikos. One thing though, he gives more discount when you are there to buy from his shop. May be he is not an AD but he does stamp the warranty card and I have had no problem with getting some issues fixed at the Seiko Agnet in Singapore.
Yeah, and thats where I bought the watch from. I went to the shop and purchased it..

Im not sure they are reps though...hopefully they are gens.
The photos of the watch I took in this thread are mine, and yes, it is a gen.....
-
Re-issue??? Are those for real? You've got to be kidding right..
-
timeshop has made it available? automatic 21 j
but it's here with lots of flaws ! It doesn't even have a titanium case and bracelet. I am so unhappy!
Honestly what those chinese rippers are looking at ? Don't they see the major mistakes they made ? I mean they are supposed to have some infos or pics when they replicate it? It is obvious that they are not coming here to get at least an accurate picture
What is wrong with that rep? It looks fine to me..
Oh and is that dealer trustworthy? He even has the limited edition Quantum Of Solace Planet Ocean!!!
-
Yes. Michael Phelps is an Omega ambassador, so naturally, he wears an Omega.. Judging from the edges of the bezel and calendar distance on the dial, I think he is sporting the 45mm..
-
I don't think there were any close up shots of the watch in Quantum Of Solace.. And I liked it that way. It was a very subtle Omega product placement in the movie.. Everyone knows now that the current Bond wears an Omega Planet Ocean.. Thanks to the Omega poster ads pasted all around the world..

This watch would be from Casino Royale, where he wore a black SMP in the dress scenes.
No.. The black SMP wasn't released until only recently this year.. It was the blue co-axial SMP that was worn in Casino Royale..
-
It is the very nice piece and Congratulation.
Here is mine with black dial (My pictures are not as good as yours)
Arrgh!! Very nice! Its the 42mm... Did you know Daniel Craig wore that in Quantum Of Solace!!! How I wish I have that watch..
-
If they do indeed deliver their watches as promised like the one I received, all they have to do is change their payment method.. Western Union money transfer has scam written all over it.. But alas, I've already persuaded Mickey to change his payment method a couple of times but he refused.. The reason why remains a mystery.. Oh well..

It's a gen...no pearl! Gen manufacturers suggest re-testing for pressure every year.
I don't get it, if its a gen, why isn't there a pearl? Is it suppose to have no pearl for that particular model? What model is that?
Anyway, my SKX007K is still under warranty, will probably just risk it and go into the pool with it..
-
I'd get that tested too.
Ouch! So much for it being a diver watch.... Damn.. But is that a gen? Where is the pearl on the bezel insert?
-
Lol.. I didn't mean a watch dealer such as Omega etc.. Anyway, I emailed the dealer that I got my watch from, he said that it is water resistant but he stated that I should not swim with it.. I better not then.. I'd rather not take the risk and end up destroying a beautiful rep.
Oh well, I guess I will just go swimming or do any water sports with my gen Seiko SKX007 then, which looks just as good..
-
That watch in the photo is a 41mm black dial Omega SMP.. Its not a PO.. Released recently to coincide with the new Bond movie. Here is a good rep I found of the watch... >>> http://www.rolex2u.com/omega-seamaster-aut...tch--17651.html

That was really helpful! Thanks!
So can I send my rep to a watch dealer to have it tested? Will they like turn me down since my watch is a rep?
-
It depends on the watch. Some are and some aren't.
There's no way of knowing it yours is, so get it tested.
How do I go about testing it? Can I just put it in a glass full of water and check for bubbles or something???
-
I'm thinking of going swimming with my rep Omega SMP.. Is it advisable? I'm just not sure if its really water resistant.. I feel that the "helium valve" might invite water into the watch..... With that said, are our reps really water resistant and water tight? Any advise from members here would really be appreciated...
-
In QoS, he's wearing at least a 45mm PO on steel.
Sorry to quote an old post.. But just to do a correction. In QOS, he is wearing a 42mm PO, not a 45mm..
-
Not sure why I can't edit my previous post..
Anyway, wanna add that the Omega SMP 2531.80 is the definite Bond watch after the Rolex. I don't know why, I just don't see the Planet Ocean that is used in Quantum Of Solace as a Bond watch... The one with rubber in Casino Royale is an exception but not the steel on steel that is used in QOS.. How I wished he was wearing the 2220.80 model or the new one with the black face in the new movie instead of the PO..

The seller refunded me my payment as the insert is currently out of stock. Really strange as I had already received an email stating that it has already been shipped.

But the crown guards!!!
What is wrong with the crown guards on the current rep? Did I miss out on something?

Interesting.. I did not have that problem with them when I purchased my rep from them.. He replied all my emails very quickly. I'm still surprised that I received the watch in the end coz I really had my doubts abt them. But that purchase, wld be my only purchase from them. Just did not feel very comfortable paying by money transfer via western union..
