  1. I have just ordered the bezel insert from the seller at ebay! Will be at an ease of mind knowing I will have a spare insert in case the one on the watch falls off and I lose it.. I just hope it would never come to that so I won't have to use the spare... ^_^

  2. I have had a number of SMP reps and I fully agree that the gen just feels better than the best rep, mainly because of its profile on the wrist. That's why I have a black gen SMP. However I have a UPO and it wears similar to the gen except there is something about the shape of the SELs which slightly alters the feel on the wrist. IMO the PO is not nearly as nice a watch as the SMP and I certainly wouldn't be tempted to get a gen. The UPO, like the SOSF, is one of those reps that is perfectly good 'out-of-the-box' and doesn't justify chucking money at it.

Well said! I have a gen SMP.. But I'm also saving up to get the gen SMP Co-Axial.. Just not into getting a gen PO although I am getting a rep PO but that's that.. A gen SMP most definitely! Plus, for some reason, I went to my local Omega boutique and was told that the gen SMP is also slightly cheaper than the gen PO... Not sure why as both have the same Co-Axial movement..

  3. True, but in the latest bond movie and probably in casino royale, DC wore the 42mm version. Also my wrist is only 6 inches. So i'd probably look like an idiot with the UPO. I want this watch so bad the gen version is just calling out to me :cry2:

Just go get the 42mm gen if you have the $$$ dude :p

Anyway, Craig wore the huge 45mm PO (w/ rubber strap) in Casino Royale.. But converted to a 42mm PO (with SS bracelet) in Quantum..

I think the huge 45mm PO with the rubber strap looks really good for active wear in sports, swimming etc.. Easier said, suited for informal casual dressing occasions. Don't think it goes well with a business suit.. And its not something you would want to wear for a formal dress occasion.. The 41mm SMP is my definite choice for a formal dress occasion and for us wearing business suits.. Actually, come to think about it, the SMP actually goes well for informal and formal occasions unlike the 45mm PO..

  4. I think there already was a 42mm PO rep made similar to the one in Quantum Of Solace... >>> http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=19919&hl=

I still prefer the 45mm PO with rubber strap from Casino Royale.. :p Getting a rep of it soon but in a dilemma as I don't know which dealer to get it from... Its either Ruby or Joshua..... Any help on which dealer I should get from would be appreciated <_<

  5. Looks good! I plan on getting the insert from that seller at ebay too... Actually I found this seller first and then I found out that Josh at Perfect Clones has the insert at US$28 for 2.. So I got it from him seeing as it was a good deal. But then I regret getting the inserts from Josh in the end as his inserts doesn't come with the pearl....

According to the seller at ebay, he states that no glue is required to attach the insert. Is this true? How did you attach yours to the bezel?

  6. glue it back in yourself, its simple, if you lost the insert order one off the 'bay.

this is probably the least of fixes you'll have to do to watches you receive over your rep collecting 'career' :p

    have fun

Yeah, but the problem is that some of the spare bezel inserts does not come with a pearl... <_<

  7. My worst fear has come true to a fellow user in this forum... I've been fearing this would happen to my SMP too... Missing the insert after finding out it fell off.. I don't want the same thing to happen to mine.. Oh no

Damn, I'm really sorry about your bezel insert edgematic. You can get a spare insert from Perfect Clones, email them and ask but I don't think it will have a pearl. Again, ask Josh if it comes with the pearl. I bought 2 spare bezel insert for my SMP from them recently, both were without the pearl. Either way, as a last resort, you can just fix the replacement insert with or without a pearl if you are not into DIY... Then again, it is hardly noticeable without a pearl... right??? Hmmm.. I plan on doing the same if it were to happen to mine too... I'm not a DIY kind of guy.. Hardly noticeable without a pearl.. I think.. Only a dark hole where the pearl will be.. Wonder what other users here will say abt that.. Would it be noticeable without a pearl?

  8. Where do you think I purchased my beautiful Omega SMP from? I purchased it direct from Sinowatches.com! The website's mode of payment is by Western Union, and it was no doubt that it will be my first and only transaction with Western Union. Only after I made payment to them did I find out about scams through that payment method. So I felt very insecure the whole time after I made payment to Sinowatch coz I feared that I might never receive the watch. Even though I was able to track the package, I still feared the worst. But my fears were put to rest when the watch arrived at my doorstep within 3 days after I had made payment.. Watch was in excellent and brand new condition (as you can see in my signature image below)..

But I don't think I want to purchase from them anymore even though my order with them was pretty smooth unless they change their payment method. So if you want to purchase from them and pay with Western Union, do so at your own risk! I'm getting my watches from Perfect Clones from now on...

  9. post-22-1223846451_thumb.jpg

Bought this 2537. back in 2004.

    Black dial/black bezel.

I have been told that the minute hand is too short...

nevertheless a very nice Omega. Nice gold 007, and very nicely done

007 engraving on the dial. I always prefeered the black face and bezel to

    the blue.

I have that too. But I can't be bothered to take a photo of it as it has the wrong colored dial and bezel insert. Even the fonts on the insert is wrong. And the red tipped needle on the second hand is too short.

  10. thanx mars

so there is the one i have

some have red second hands ? mine is orange

there is the washing machine one

the one with 007 all over the dial

    the new solace one

is that it ? i think so but could be wrong

Here they are in the chronological order of their release.... >>>>

The one that started it all. It was actually to commemorate James Bond's 40th Anniversary in 2002 with Die Another Day >>>

    25378000.jpg

    2537.80.00

And then for Casino Royale in 2006 >>>

    22268000.jpg

    2226.80.00

    29075091.jpg

    2907.50.91

And the limited edition ones for Quantum Of Solace.. No replicas of these recent models yet >>>>

    21230412001001.jpg

    212.30.41.20.01.001

    22230462001001.jpg

    222.30.46.20.01.001

I see the pattern with Omega now.. Since 2002, with every James Bond movie that is released, they will almost surely market it with a limited edition 007 watch... Marketing at its best...

  11. Hi everybody!

Finally it's probably my time to buy a GEN! I have for project to buy a gen (in 1month...) but I'm really not sure about the model I really want...

I have a SMP replica Bond model. That watch was one of my dream. I love the PO 45MM with rubber strap but I don't know what is better between the PO and the new SMP.

I know, choose a watch is a very personal thing but I would like your opinions!

    so:

    or this

    planetoceansandtv2.jpg

    Thanks guys!!

    J.Bd

If I had the chance to get a gen Omega, I would definitely go for the SMP Co-Axial. Its classic and it shows pure luxury in its own way.. I'm actually saving up to get it.. For the PO with rubber straps, I think I will only get a rep of that one.. :p

Anyway JBond, have you bought your gen Omega yet?

  12. The seller even described it saying that he bought it in 2002... So not true as this limited edition dial was only released in 2006... Plus, he stated the model/ref number as 2531.80, which obvious is not the correct ref number... And amazingly, blinded bidders still went ahead and bid on it and there was a winner.. Oh boy..

  13. Looks ok.. Close, but its not really accurate to the gen 2220.80. This is the first I've seen of a rep SMP Co-Axial... As you mentioned, the Omega words should be raised as well just like the logo and the lume marker at the 3'o clock date looks like it has a different shade of green compared to the rest of the lume markers... It can be made better I'm sure. Only time will tell, no pun intended.. Hope those rep makers out there will get it right soon coz this one does not look very convincing.. And the pearl can be improved too..
