  1. Ok that helps.  Checked a couple of the dealers.  Did not see any with this style "patina" probably the closest was a dial from Yuki.  Josh "perfect clones" has several 5512/5513.  Keep searching or you could buy one and have a modder redo the lume the way you want it or replace with another dial.

Wow, great! Thank you so much!

Who would be able to make lumes?

  2. You can also try Polo....

But you will be hard pressed to get one started from scratch...

Factories usual need at least a minimum order of 100 to make serious changes but may make variations for less...

Hi Pete, What is Polo? Im willing to make 100 pieces or more.

  3. Fitting would involve transferring the 'seconds at six mods' from the rep to the ETA 7750. Am not sure that this would be a significant improvement over the rep movement. The 'seconds at six mods' are not engineered to the same standards as either the base ETA or Asian 7750.

ok. Which high quiality movement would be optimal?

  4. Is reliability really your only criterion? If so, get anything without subdials and a gen ETA, for instance an Ingenieur or a Aquatimer. Maybe you'll even find a quartz rep. Might be totally off but reliable.

    Val.

I have a Pilots watch without subdials, and even this one is not reliable...

  5. Glenn,

I've written alot about this on RG. The short answer is, that if it is serviced correctly and nothing breaks, I think it is reasonable to expect 18+ months. Even with the cost of more frequent services, this is a good value as compared to an IWC cal 79350.

Great!! Do you know anyone in northern Europe who does service?

  6. Glenn,

You might want to post a WTB, or contact Concpeta.

I have them on occasion, before I ship to off to be serviced.

The last one I got is not working properly.

Know that even if you buy a movement from someone, it will need to be serviced.

You could have a 'latest' version.

You seem to be avoiding servicing, why?

    ok, thanks.

I have the impression that it will need frequent services... How often do it need to be serviced?

  7. Have it serviced.

Make sure they have experience with modified 7750's, though.

    How old is it?

If it is the early version, it is best to replace it with the latest ... and before the question is asked, the only way I can tell is to remove the hands and dial, and the coverplate for the date platform.

ok, thanks! I got it 2 years ago... From where can I get a new 7750 movement without buying a complete watch?

  8. Hugo, thanks a bunch!!!

    Hi

Its as easy as it gets to remove the stem and put it back in again.

unscrew the 4 screws in the backcase of the watch. Then the back case will become loose and expose the mechanism.

Then press the small "reset-like" button (top arrow) and while pressing it down with something, push the crown out.

To insert is just the same, insert the crown/stem while pressing the button down.

    Hope it helps...

But best is if your dealer can exchange you the watch.

    regards

    H.
