  1. My bracelet on the gmt master IIc fell apart during a weding when i was clapping. It wasn't the screws that held the pins in place it was the pins that hold the top parts of the bracelet together. I am sending it back with the watch since there was a problem with it but you could always try and take the bracelet apart if a part comes off easy then locktite the pins back in. I tried fixing it that way but decided it's probably better off to replace it. It was hard to get it undone after the locktite.
  2. Here is a couple of mine. I have to send it back since the bracelet fell apart and the date doesn't switch over right away on some days and no one mentioned if there was an easy fix or not so back it goes.
  3. I originally wanted this model of breitling but am going to settle for a BCE due to the flaws.
  4. If there are any mods that can lock this case up tighter than a _________ let me know. Maybe seal up the helium valve with epoxy and make sure o-rings and front bezel seals are good.
  5. Yeah i have a pro dial so my colour is pretty much correct just the triangle is wrong.
  6. I agree maybe i should just go that route and finish with it once and for all. But what if the movement can't be repaired. I don't think it's a standard a7750 but maybe it uses same parts i don't know.
  7. Amazing and that is what the gen lume is suposed to be like correct?
  8. I purchased this watch a while ago and i wear it soo often. It's an amazing rep and just looks plain badass in the PVD coating. I bought it purposely to use and abuse it, swim with it play sports, etc..... but i still have not got the courage to try yet. The case is still mint and the PVD coating has held up perfectly. I somehow scratched the rubber band and gave it a scuff mark but it's alright. But yes has anyone tested the water proofness of theirs? And for this thread is useless without pictures here are some shots of it.
  9. I'm just sooo upset i have to send mine back to china for the 3rd time now regarding a faulty movement
  10. When you go to AP's website you hit latest creations and i want that new stainless offshore version with the black numerals, black subdials, white dial and red chrono needle and tach markings. Here is a pic of what i'm talking about.
  11. They do look nice. I have a leather 10 watch box from wolf designs. they are on sale now for 75 dollars instead of 150. It's not too bad either and i like having the glass top.
  12. Excellent one of my grail watches for sure. It's what got me into the rep game. It is big but not HUGE. It seemed big before i started getting into watches. Maybe i could pull off a jumbo breitling then. Just need to work on the forearms. I also felt that the breitlings wore bigger i dunno. I have the 7750 version and it's mint as well really positive feel to the watch and great fit and finish. Almost lost some caseback screws though and it's running slow by a couple minutes a day. Bollo how big are your wrists? And it looks like you are wearing the strap looser. I wear this one quite tight and the clasp digs in. Is the gen strap more flexible near the lugs compared to the rep strap?
  13. Don't get me wrong it's a nice watch and i think it looks great but it's not like it's a grail watch or anything like that. Blingdaily has a sale on a Maurice Lacroix Pontos Chrono based on a 7750 for 900 dollars!! The price is insane! And if i wasn't a rep collector i would definitely buy it but i think we get a little spoiled with some of these reps we have. And i don't think it has a lot of brand cachet so even though it's a nice watch at a great price it's not something to be too proud of i would say. I mean the brand chose the name for a pure marketing purpose and not even based on anybody.
  14. Lately there have been some many good deals going around on gen watches. The daily sites have been coming up with some great examples. Would these watches be ones that i would truly want to own? No not really but are they a steal? Absolutely. What would you do? Would you buy some good quality gens at great prices or just keep collecting more reps.
  15. And a Royal Flush nice! wait a minute it says play 5 credits you didn't actually hit it did you?
  16. If a girl does come up to you and say "I like your watch." Your answer should always be, "no you don't, you're just attracted to me" Saying what the watch is and all and having a girl that will have watch talk with you gets you nowhere. Don't even acknowledge what it is.
  17. How would you remove it? Scrape it off somehow? Would it actually not damage the dial? I would like to know before i talk to the dealer and see what can be done about it. The worst i could do is mess up the dial which i could just get another one in. How would you go about fixing it? Someone said i could just remove the bezel and crystal and not have to take the movement out but what would you use to get it off?
  18. I purchased my watch from hont. Depending on the angle it will reflect light but in fact doesn't have silver around. That dial looks a bit different too there seems to be ore space between the date window and the rehaut as well. Here is an example of how it can appear to be metal based on light. This is a dial defect i have with mine. Also note that his hands have a pure white look as opposed to the different coloured hands on the rep from the numerals. Difference of C1 and C3 i think.
  19. I have an APROO which so far is amazing. Keeping COSC time as well. It lost only 18 seconds in a whole week! But i have a blob of lume around the number 4 numeral Eventually i probably would want to get this watch serviced and moded with a relume however can this be cleaned up without harming the dial? Here is a pic.
  20. My wrists are aproximately 6.8 inches give or take up to 7 when they swell. But they are wider than deep. THe clasp on the band isn't the most comfortable so i wear it up higher so it doesn't dig into my wrist bones.
  21. The only real flaw i can tell from my APROO black themes that i just got last week is there are no metal surrounds on the numberals as per the gen. I know it's a minute detail but it's a small detail that does bring some more sparkle to the dial the way it would reflect light. I have a choaprd gtxxl chrono that sparkles cuz of the tiny metal surounds around the markers. I am thinking of one day sending my watch off to The Zigmeister for a full service cuz it's an amazing watch a relume with proper c1 lume and hopefully during that the numbers could be modified somehow to show some shine. Anyone care to comment?
  22. The decal mod seems simple however it will miss one thing and the way light will play off those gears and screw edges. I think someone mentioned drilling holes in the top plate and glueing fake gears around the posts and screw heads to the main plate will give it a more gen like appearance. We won't get the auxiliary gears in there but at least it will have some sort of metal pieces that will shine through the dial and reflect light when someone moves the watch around. So basically re brush the top plate with cotes de geneves and drill through the right spots and place screw heads there and a bored out gear around the centre post. More expensive and time consuming than the decal mod. I want to start learning how to repair and service movements i like tinkering i just need to get some bunk movements to try and overhaul and stuff to learn on. Is there any way of getting a couple top plates from the factory?
  23. I posted this on repgeek a couple days ago thought i'd post it here to for RWG members. Enjoy. Just curious how smooth peoples runnin seconds hand is please comment about that. Mine is a little choppy in some parts. Alright so i got my watch today so far soo good. Amazing quality. Beats the chopard i had to bits. Although the clasp on the chopard was better. Regardless here comes some pics. It's a chunky watch but fits my wrist nicely i think your opinions are welcome. Photography is a hobby of mine but i didn't do much i just wanted to take some fast snapshots with my 100 macro. Watches is a much cheaper hobby i'll tell you that much. A 600 dollar CAD watch is nothing compared to a 3000 dollar lens. Maybe i could mix the two hobbies together since i stopped using my camera gear.
  24. Okay i am really confused now. I thought all AP Running Seconds at 12 were created equal. I look at josh's site and he has his movements decorated rotor, micro regulator etc... and now i look at King's site and hers don't have any micro regulator or decorated rotor.
