Hi all, So I have been doing a bit of research but no doubt will benefit from the experts here. Here's my parts list please add your comments: - Case and bracelet = Cartel 1680 (likely Trusty) Done - Dial = Yuki - is this currently the best version?) Gone with genuine dial - Hands = mix of Yuki and ebay sellers to get closer length From ebay - Movement = eta 2783 (the better version would be the 2784 but they did use the slow beat in the genuine albeit rarer) ETA 2783 Done - Bezel insert = ebay? I have yet to find a good version that reflects the color aside form genuine - Crown = ebay replacement crown and tube (I dont see a need for a genuine one) Shaved down existing crown - still a touch too big but i'll live with it. A couple of clarifications: - The dial feet of the yuki dial (for eta 28xx) doesn't line up with the 2783 dial feet position it seems - can someone please confirm or have found a solution aside from cutting the feet off? genuine dial fits 2783 - Would love to put a roulette date wheel or even a full red one, anyone know if thats possible to find? fk it - too much trouble - Caseback to be sent to JNB to have it stamped. Am i missing anything else? thanks in advance,

As some of you guys may know, I had a huge omega crush back in the day.... The limited edition 007 was the one that first got me into watches and was chasing the grail replica for many years. I finally had the chance to pick up the closed factory version a few years ago and loved it. I modded it to have genuine crown and bezel insert, from the surface it looked just the real thing but after a while, realised it just wasn't going to cut it. Anyway, in the last 6 months, I had the chance to pick up the genuine piece with box and papers for just under $2K. Still a little pricey but wanted the real thing. Then recently, I had a chance to pick the standard version for cheap, also came with box and papers but was in need of repair. Anyway, I was able to repair it and now have both. May be holding on to them for a while, I hope.

you need bezel and ratchet as well.

Think the dial is ok. Pearl is bad. the dial from Yuki is also for vintage 16610....doesn't make sense for your model

picked up a used (still in good condition) for around $90 dont think u can get much cheaper than that!

If you get the latest UPO 42mm from the cartel. Only thing is the HEV will need to be drilled out - the newer version is complete dummy. Otherwise all should work.

the automatic version should be cheaper I have one - from the 80s. Nice one - a little smaller than the manual wind version

yeah lesson learnt. Yes, I still have the package and taken photos. I havent even bothered opening the package as its clearly empty. Have responded to the seller and the fedex guys. Understand its only speculation here but any ideas how Paypal would respond to empty boxes?

Hi guys, Wanted to get your thoughts on my current situation. I bought a watch off ebay and the seller used Fedex as the shipper. I received the package on my front door and it is an empty envelope. The side has been opened and resealed with clear tape. Considering I bought this off ebay using paypal, whats my best case of action? Thanks in advance!

If its not running - it will most definitely need service. Not really such thing as "breaking in" period. A service would put you back another 400-600$ 3135 (in working condition) sell for over $2K so you do the math
