  1. Definitely keep the dial - It may come in handy in the future. You may find a broken replica Seamaster and you can have a try and see if you can get it to work. And for your information. The Omega 1538 movement is based off the ETA 255.461, which will set you back around $89. You will then pay around $50 for the hands, so you are looking at a pretty expensive project.
  2. daughter is actually hot. =) Edited: removed 'kinda' before 'hot'
  3. the quartz movement for the Omega seamaster quartz is called Omega 1538 caliber. It is also based off a ETA movement - you will have to do some research as I can't remember the name of it now. However, this project is more or less not worth it. You will have to purchase quartz hands and you don't know if how thin the quartz movement is, if its too thin for the replica case, the stem won't function properly. This project seems to be more of a testing water than anything else. good luck
  4. genuine I have yet to see fake tag heuer 1000 series. Alot of them only cost 200-300 dollars second hand on ebay anyway, no need to fake it i presume.
  5. hahaha kenberg Is bunnings only an australian thing? I have yet to see it in U.S
  6. those are real - I have yet to see replicas of that tag heuer model. quartz = tick automatic = sweep
  7. Just politely tell him since its fake, you are not willing to spend any amount of money on it. There is no need to string anyone along - considering you don't know the story behind it. He/she may not know anything about watches...
  8. funny you should mention that.... Considering you were the one that filed a complaint with Joshua
  9. ok here's my thoughts. 1. Modern Omega seamasters do NOT have 25 jewels - they are generally 23 jewels 2. There is a reason why sellers choose not to show detailed pictures of the watch they are selling - and I hope you will now know why I'm very certain that it is a fake
  10. they are human, so mistakes do happen. I remember having one of my watches addressed incorrectly, but I was luck to find out early so I had it re corrected. be patient and it will come through - belated most likely.
  11. and you think you feel small? i'm only 5'11" and 152lb....average at the moment for guys who have posted is around 6'3!!!! if any of you guys become bouncers/security guards at clubs....let me know ....please. =)
  12. best bet is to list this on timezone and see what the experts say. I'm pretty sure its not a replica though....never seen such a unique piece before! good find!
  13. have you moved to australia yet? cos u can get some cheap stuff down there. Last time i got a hour wheel for less than $4AUD.
  14. hahaha....nor a guaranteed blowjob from a woman.... =P
  15. It is most likely that the thread (crown tube) has been worn. However, saying, I have encountered on many occasion that the o-ring inside the crown has been worn and gummed up, those problems will cause frictional issues as well as screwing-down capabilities. I will firstly get a watchsmith to look at the crown - mention what i've stated here and see if he can find the problem. Either way, once you mention it, the watchsmith should be able to tell you how much to fix - instead of telling you to leave it with him and then give you a overpriced quota. For the DIY guys-You can order new crown tubes for around $30USD.
  16. HAHAAHAHHhhahhaa when i first read the original post...i was like...I hope no one replies with interest considering this guy's previous posts. But to have almost 3 pages of members interested.... do you all think its that easy to replicate one-to-one cases? you think that people who specialized in Replica goods won't be ALREADY doing this? Please..next time you see FLIPLOCKBUCKLE post anything....just ignore it and move on to the next post. He hasn't posted anything contributive apart from his notorious guides on how to F*** up your watch. I have now already placed him on ignore mode....no more seeing his post...ever again. btw...good luck with the machining(lol)
  17. Winding position is 0. clockwise, or upwards in other words Genuine SMP chronograph pushers also does not lock down. You have one of the best replicas of 2006. wear it well.
  18. Ofrei's Genuine Omega bezel components will not fit the replica. They are meant to replace a genuine Omega Bezel assembly. from what i have gathered, what you can do is cut off a springbar, use the tip as the click insert, and the spring inside the springbar as the replacement spring. The size and length you will have to work out yourself. Best of luck.
  19. hahaha yeah, after i made this thread I realised that most probably, only the taller members would post here. not very accurate in terms of trying to work out our average community size, oh well.
  20. ended with $1375! I would say that was a good deal for that watch
  21. No paperwork however. Appears to be genuine. comes with blue box. If it ends near this price, it will be a bargain. Ebay Link
